Abstract
The research project is made on “Best Practices of HR to Gain Employee Commitment in
Information Technology Service Industry”. The main objective of this research is to identify the
different factors which cause low productivity in the IT industry. The mixed approach by
including qualitative and quantitative approach is being taken in this research to attain the
objectives of the research. The proper structure is being taken for this research paper to make
better understanding to the reader. The methodology part is described in this section in clear and
concise manner by describing that what methods are opted for conducting the research. The data
has been gathered with the help of primary as well as secondary sources by taking considerations
of number of materials such as journal articles, newspapers, online sources and many more.

Introduction
It is the chapter that provides the depth understanding about the various tools, techniques and
methods to conduct the research in an appropriate manner. Research methodology is the
significant part of the entire research study which reflects the methods and techniques take for
the conclusion of the research appropriately. This section of the research entails the various
methods utilised for data gathering in which various techniques are taken in use for sampling. It
elaborates the limitations of the research which gives the effective overview of the project of the

The role of research philosophy in the research project is wide as it develops the understanding
and awareness of the researcher regarding the concern of the research. A research philosophy is
considered as the belief about how to conduct the research in which data regarding a
phenomenon should be collected, evaluated and used. It is necessary for the research to opt the
appropriate research philosophy because it facilitates to recognize the process of gathering,
analyzing and evaluating the information. According to the chosen research topic, the philosophy
of the research can be distinguished into some kinds such as positivism, interpretivism and
realism philosophy. Positivism philosophy defines the actual information which is completely
based on the statistical information and data. While, realism philosophy is dependent on the
beliefs of human, this is remained in the environment. In the context of Interpretivism
philosophy, it enables researchers to make the effective research by gathering the different views
and opinions of participants. The interpretivism philosophy is taken for use to conduct the
research paper as it helps researcher to access the views and opinions of participants (Schwartz-
Shea & Yanow, 2013). The valid conclusion can be drawn with the help of this method regarding
to the effective practices of HR to attain the employee commitment (Sikora & Ferris, 2014). In
contrast, the chosen philosophy method for this research is not regarding to left two philosophies
that is realism and positivism to handle the research concerns, because there is no requirement to
utilize vastly structured methodology like hypothesis building and verifying, and need of
evaluation of the outcomes on the basis of findings.
The research questions which are mentioned in the chapter of Research Design and Evaluation
should be answered in an appropriate manner. The employee commitment is the effective
approach that facilitates to increase the productivity of the employee in attaining the competitive
advantages. There are issues such as increase pressure, less social relationship, lack of safety
and improper work life balance in the company which have been mentioned earlier (Phillips &
Phillips, 2016). The HR Practices of HR should be executed in an efficient manner to attain the
competitive advantages. The selection of research methods helps to gather the factual data
regarding the topic (Sani, 2013).
