Research topic: varying effects of shock advertising on different media platforms
3.1 Introductions
This chapter of the investigation is imperative for obtaining the data towards many strategies,
approaches, and methods which would be used by investigation towards the research issue. It
could facilitate to get depth data with respect to the data collection tool. Moreover, it can be
effective for evaluating different research tools that are used in a particular research area. This
section demonstrates the knowledge towards the philosophies, strategies, approaches, data
gathering techniques, and purpose. These factors are effective to get the requisite data in solving
the research problem. It would lead to meet purpose and objectives of particular study. This
study effective for suitable research tool as well as approaches with suitable justification.
3.2 Research philosophy
Research philosophy is effective in evaluating particular study at time in building theory for
study effectively. Moreover, it is stated that different kinds of philosophy can be practiced is
effective for the study named as interpretivism, positivism, and realism (Mackey and Gass,
2015). These research philosophies can be different in a different manner that could be
associated with nature as well as scope. With the concern of this study, the interpretivism
philosophy has been practiced by the investigator over the positivism and realism philosophy
caused of study is subjective in nature. This research philosophy is effective for the study caused
by getting benefits for the study. It could also be imperative for collecting the opinion and views
of the different authors with respect to the research issues. It could lead to getting a positive
result (Silverman, 2016). Under this philosophy, the investigator required a small number of a
sample size to get beliefs of participants about study concern. Moreover, it is evaluated that

interpretivism method is imperative to get information towards the particular research issue that
could not be possible by entailing positivism and realism. Apart from this, positivism philosophy
is not selected as there is no need for collecting the factual information towards research. It is
illustrated that the realism research philosophy is not practiced by the research scholar caused no
needs of getting the real data that exists in society (Taylor, Bogdan, and DeVault, 2015).
3.3 Research Approach
The approaches of research is an essential part of research methodology that is implemented by
the investigator to comprehend the inspiration behind selecting the specific methods and
approaches. Moreover, the researcher has gained their understanding of different research
methods which can be considered in the particular study named as inductive approch as well as
deductive approaches (Bresler and Stake, 2017).
With the aim of this study, the investigator is practiced inductive apporch caused of getting the
concnetual information as it could not be possible by other mehtod. However, it assists the

Strategy of research is way of obtaining depth data in the favour of research issue. The research
strategy is the mode of collecting the information towards the research concern. It makes sure
