E-learning Activities Week 1 β Activity 1 β Ford and Taylorism According to the viewpoints and thoughts of the author Lyon's, (2016), the Taylorism theory has been used in most of the organisation which has a specific organisation structure, hierarchy or environment. This is so because the Taylorism theory provides with the concept of division of work in relation to the effective and efficient attainment of the goals and objectives. The theory states that the organisational work must be allocated to the individuals on the basis of the skills and knowledge. The Ford Company in its initial stages has used this theory and is presently using it. There is a significant hierarchy been adopted by the Ford which contains the effective working of lower level management that is managed by the employees of the top management (Lyon's, 2016). It is also observed that the Taylorism theory is not been adopted or practiced at some of the country or economies such as Australia, America, and Europe. The workers belonging to such economies resist adopting the Ford theory of Taylorism due to the changes taking place in the environment, technology, and process of working. There have been tremendous changes evident in the automobile industry and the method or technique of manufacturing a car also be changed in various companies. In the present scenario, the company is adopting the more scientificmethodand the companyis going towardsmanagementoriented. Therefore, more sought of management tools and techniques has been adopted by the Ford. The call centers are also making use of the Taylorism theory in which the work has been assigned to the employees on the basis of their skills and experience. The leaders in such type of organisation adopt of the division of labor technique so that the productive working takes places within the organisation (Dininni, 2017). About 100 years ago the company is making use of such theory for increasing their performance and productivity. The delegation of the responsibility and authority among the workers provides them with a chance of enhancing their capabilities that ultimately lead to achieving of organisational objectives in an effective manner. The Taylorism theory of Ford is mostly used by the organisation in the todayβs context also but somewhere this is not applicable due to the emergence of new ideas and thoughts taking place by the managers (Dininni, 2017). Each and every organisation is prevailing in the 4

Week 5 β Activity 1 β The Milgram Experiment The analysis of the human factors and harm caused to them by the other human being in regards to providing of the pain, mental, physical or emotional stress given to them has been assessedbytheMilgramexperiment.TheSocialpsychologistMilgramhasdoneits experiment with three personnel belonging to different category and sector which are teachers, learners, and experimenter (Grief Tourist, 2009). The research has been conducted with the help of these three people and certain result or outcome has been derived that states that the people who are calm in nature or are obedient are most affected by the other human being. On the basis of the comparison made in between other people those who are polite and calm are receiving high stress and pain from the other individuals. This is so because such type of people is very easily influenced by others and the other person manipulate them and cause them with the physical, mental or emotional strain. The activity also states that there are basically three types of pains provided by the one human being to another which is referred to as the physical, mental or emotional strain. The people are torched on the basis of these three strains and sometimes in order to provide them with the legal stress the human being causing harm provide the shock treatment to those people (Gearin, 2012). In the lights and opinions of the author Gearin (2012), the persons who are involved in causing harm to the other individual make use of various kinds of treatments so that they become fully stressed. The Milgram has conducted its experiment with both of the males as well as female so that a better understanding and knowledge of the situation can be made from them. The electric shock treatment is also given to them so that they know the states of mental strain caused people in a better way (Grief Tourist, 2009). There is no extent or analysis can be made to which one person can cause harm to the other person. Not only are the stated strains provided to the individuals there is much other stress which is also possessed to them by the human being. 6
