·INTRODUCTION
Overview of the topic.
The term gender discrimination refers to an action which specifically define
opportunities, privileges and rewards the individual or group because of their gender. With
practice of letting an individual person gender person analyse and formulate an important factor
to decide the job or promotion due to gender preference. This report is written from perspective
of TESCO that operate their business at global level and it is one of the leading organisation
which manage store, supermarket and retail outlets among different geographical locations.
Moreover, report highlights on research question, aims and objectives that are related with
gender in-equality (Akter and et. al., 2016). Research methodology and outcomes will also
include in this report to analys the work perspective of gender base results. Minimise of gender
discrimination leads management of TESCO to gain competitive-edge in market by offering
similar opportunities to all persons.
Aim of the Research: To examine negative aspect of gender discrimination on
workplace environment. A case study of “Tesco”.
Research objectives:

To enhance knowledge regarding the concept of gender discrimination at workplace.

To examine the negative affect of gender discrimination on performance of Tesco.

To analyse various ways for elimination of gender discrimination at Tesco workplace.
Rationale of research
The main reason to perform research project is to identify the significant aspect that is
related with analyse of negative aspect related with gender discrimination. The main reason that
aids researcher for study and understand the topic related with gender discrimination. Research
is also depend on different investigator factors which is used to improve research skill as it
investigate and perform research by use of time-management, data-analysis and skills to
complete research for understanding significant aspects of organisational performance (Boer and
et. al., 2017).

It is an essential part for the research which is used by the investigator for collecting the
secondary information related with topic. Sources to collected secondary information relates
with articles, magazine and book. With the use of all this resources an investigator collect all
essential information which is used to examine negative aspects of gender discrimination.
Literature review is an important part for the investigation that helps to render and formulate
suitable framework in order to generate specific outcomes (Chanprapaph And et. al., 2012). In
proposal different information is obtained by investigator but this is not sufficient to analyse all
negative aspects of gender discrimination. To overcome from gap, research question will
implement by researcher to manage research in an appropriate manner.

and it is used by organisation for performing all work in an appropiate manner. In the context of
TESCO, their are different stores is managed by the departments and most of them are managed
with the help of a large section of employee's. In context of TESCO, this is identified by
management that person or individual from both gender are engaged in the company operations
and functions. So both individual either men or women must obtain similar opportunities for
performing their role in an organised manner. The law of gender discrimination is to esnure the
right of women and workforce. Sex and gender discrimination among employment undertakte
and involve perspective which is used to treat all persons with a similar perspective.

From the point view of Mackrell Turner Garrett, 2016 TESCO face the personal base
discrimination and specifically it is related with gender discrimination. Their is a cut or
deduction in the pay for night and weekend. Whether, both individuals serve for the similar
workforce (Darabi, 2018). Group of TESCO workforce take a legal action for performing work
according to decided employment rights. Biased decisions and less team-coordination among
workplace is a major negactive aspect for TESCO as due to gender discrimination workforce is
