Chapter1: INTRODUCTION
Equality refers to the giving equal right to the people wile diversity can be defined as
different group of people at any place. Equality and diversity practices plays important part in
changing business and it becomes necessary for the firm to implement successful in the firm.
Eagle Eye solution is marketing technology organization in United Kingdom. Company provides
different kind of market tools that help various kind of company. Report describes about equality
and diversity practices at workplace and the way which it affects or impact productivity of the
firm. It explains opinion of different author in Literature review and on the other hand research
methodology describes the way in which research is processed by the firm. Data Analysis
illustrate in thematic way helps scholar in making representation more attractive way.
Background
Human becomes important resources in globalization and it becomes necessary for
different kind of firm to implement equality and diversity practices at workplaces and it helps
firm in gaining more experience as well as different ideology workers. There are various process
that United Kingdom industry follow such as giving equal opportunities to all; as per the
performance and implement various laws that protect rights of various kind of workforce. It
helps organization in gaining control over market and gaining competitive advantage because
this practices impact on output of the workers (Klarsfeld and et.al., 2016).
Rationale
Research emphasizes on equality and diversity practices effect on workplace
productivity. Globalization has change trend of business and now organization focusing on
hiring employees from different culture and background which helps in increasing productivity
of the workforce. It becomes necessary for the firm to gives opportunities to different kind of
workers and use this practices to increase loyalty of workers which ultimately impact on
increasing quality, efficiency and productivity of the workers. Report highlight about impact of
equality and diversity practices impact at workplace of Eagle Eye solution (Ylöstalo, 2016).

To assess the impacts of equality and diversity at the work place in context to the Eagle
Eye Solution Company.

Significance
Research help scholar in future studies for example if he will work for the firm as a
senior employees then it can implement this practices successfully and able to gain loyalty of the
employees. It also helps firm in increasing market share in changing business by analysing this
research and make changes in practices related to equality and diversity. Scholars and other
concerned field people can take help of this report for their studies.

Theme1: Concept behind Equality and diversity practices
According to Greene, (2019), Globalization has increase the scope of Equality and
diversity practices at workplace. It becomes necessary to give chances to different kind of
workers in the company. It also explains that these practices are necessary for gaining higher
output from the workers and increase productivity of the workers. Innovation and creativity of
the employees increase because of an exchanging knowledge from different kind of people. In IT
firms it becomes necessary for implementation of these techniques as employees comes from
different background, religion, race etc. Various kind of laws are also framed by the government
of different kinds of countries related to it which highly benefit employees in working in
organization. Human Resource department of the firm implement different kind of equality and
diversity practices at workplace to motivate and encourage workers towards work and also able
to gain their loyalty. United Kingdom is one of technological advance country and one of
globalized country and it has implemented various kinds of law to support diverse work group
such as Equality, Sex Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, Race Relations, Human Rights
Act etc. and hence increase quality, efficiency and productivity of workers at workplace.
In the opinion of Bain, (2017), equality and diversity practices are not successful in large
number of organization because people of the country reluctant to change. Many employees

protested that first right on opportunity of the company is of citizens of nation and hence other
diverse population people discriminated. It effects on quality, efficiency and productivity of
workers and hence increase profit share of the firm in changing business. There are many
countries where locals are get higher chances at workplaces because of ideology that promote
locals. Discrimination on the bases of caste is another problem that various kind of developing
industry facing such as India, Bangladesh etc. in this equality and diversity practices unable to
implement. Social structure becomes one of the major challenges for the firm to adopt such kind
of policies that help and support all workers in firm. In United Kingdom colour and race
superiority becomes barrier in equality and diversity practices and hence large number of
workers remain demotivated towards work and hence industry unable to achieve higher target
because of less innovation and creativity. Gender discrimination is another point that stop growth
of the female in the firm because implementing policy is easy but properly following it will be
highly difficult. This policies and practices are limited to multinational company while small
firm finds it as a form extra expenditure and hence avoid it at workplace. Cultural difference
become another region for adoption of such practices and hence it needs large amount of money
in implementing such kind of practices at workplace.
Theme 2: Equality and diversity practices impact on workers
In the view of Eikhof and et.al., (2019.), different kind of workforce at workplace helps
firm in achieving higher target goals on time. Interaction level of different culture people create
fusion which is highly impact on performance of the workers and hence it becomes necessary for
the firm to implement proper policies and practices related to equality and diversity. There are
different kinds of practices that firm follow in order to implement equality and diversity practices
at workplace. Different kind of laws are designed by the firm in order to successful
implementation of it such as anti discrimination policy highly support growth of all kind of
workers at workplace. Increasing knowledge workforce help firm in gaining higher output
timely. Equal opportunities to all workers can only be possible with the help of this kind of
practices. Employees from different places gives ideas related to work and hence firm can higher
output for the same input. Discrimination chances can be reduced with the help of it and hence
increase loyalty of the employees towards firms and it also reduces chances of migration of
workers to another firm which help in managing talented and skilled workforce at workplace.
Company can successful implement this practices by providing incentives, increment,

promotion, awards, rewards, recognition etc. this all methods are use by different kind of firm at
workplaces. Human Resource management plays important role in such kind of practices for
example they can evaluate performance of workforce and according to give various associate
benefits. It promotes friendly environment and all worker support each other in their work and
hence team participation leads to increase in productivity of work. In different part of world
company can increase market share with the help of equality and diversity practices.
On the contrary Sarvaiya and Eweje (2016), said that equality and diversity can become
barrier in growth of the firm if not successfully implemented. Cultural background of the country
highly effect on it for example: there are many country where cast system like in India and class
system like in Britain still there which become barrier in diversification. Large number of people
still reluctant to change such as they don’t except modern norms of working culture and hence it
become difficult for the firm to implement various kind of workplace improvement practices.
Workers have different perspective related to tackling various kind of issue because them come
from different background hand create different which becomes barrier in growth of the firm.
Negativity also increases because of unresolved issue which effect on quality, efficiency and
productivity of the work. As the workers comes from different part of globe with different native
language so communication barrier become major problem among them which increase chances
of conflict and some of people are start feeling isolated and discriminated. Accent and fluency
again create confusion for people come from various countries in the company and hence it
become difficult for the firm to decrease the difference and united them for a single goal.
Equality and diversity practices have highest negative effect on managing employees and it
increase employees turnover. Talented and skilled workforce migrated to another company and
hence company productivity decrease. Reason behind that employees from different culture feel
separated and unsafe which make their mind towards changing job. Training and development
program for diversified workforce is another challenge for the firm and it increase expenditure
which effected on financial capacity of the firm to meet future demands and expand business.
Company has to organise various kinds of events and programs for different culture from
company’s profit and hence it effect on budget of the firm. Increasing employee’s turnover can
raise the chances of business risk and company will unable to secure market and gain
competitive advantage.
