Concept of globalisation

On the basis of the thoughts presented by the author named as Brambilla, (2015)it has been
examined that globalisation is the method where goods and services transferred from one country
to another country. It is a process used by every country in order to transfer goods, services,
technology, information as well as jobs across the country border. One of the major aim behind
developing the concept of globalisation is to provide job opportunities and other benefits to both
the countries. Along with this, some business organisations do not get more opportunities at
domestic level, in order to expand the opportunity level, or to freely trade all over the world,
concept of globalisation came into existence (Zajda, 2015). Globalisation helps the countries in
order to increase the living standard of individuals. On the other hand, it increase the profitability
as well as market share of companies at competitive marketplace.
Different factors that drives business success at international scale
As pee the perception of Long, (2019), it has been analysed that there are numerous of
factors which helps company in making their business successful at international scale. These
factor includes innovative idea, huge networking, right talent, hard work and high sales
performance. According to the belief of this author, it can be said that hard work is the main
reason which contributes in the success of the company at international market place (Vom
Brocke, Petry and Gonser, 2016). It has been further analysed that, if the company provides high
quality of services to its customers then they can easily persuade interest of people at marketplace
which ultimately contributes in success of organisation.
Role of globalisation in the business success of TESCO
According to the point of view of Jenkins and Williamson, (2015), it has been analysed
that the concept of globalisation plays essential role in the business scale of every company. In
context of large scale companies like TESCO, it can be said that the term globalisation helps
company in gaining numerous of business opportunities with which their performance at
marketplace can be improved in terms of profitability (Hanson and et. al, 2016). Along with this,
the concept also helps TESCO in approaching to maximum number customers. This will directly
enhance its sales performance as a result, the company will easily be able to succeed at
marketplace.

4.1 Data collection
Data collection refers to the systematic approach of collecting and measuring data which have
been gathered from various sources. This collected data is helpful for investigator as they are able
to find out feasible and authentic outcome for their research topic. Data collection methods are
mainly of two types that is primary and secondary. In the current investigation, investigator have
used both the primary as well as secondary sources of data in order to complete the work in
provided time limit along with the authenticity. In primary method, investigator have selected
questionnaire. This questionnaire will be further filled by chosen respondents. It will also help
company in reaching to authentic information. While, secondary sources will help in gathering
maximum relevant information less period of time.

Gantt chart is considered as the bar which simply defines overall project schedule. It plays an
essential role in research project as it provides guidance to all involved people about overall
duration of investigation along with the activities from the starting to the end time.

Research Philosophy
It is a method or way in which it has been explained that how researcher will gathered, use
and analyse the whole data. It is mainly categorised into two main parts:
Positivism: According to this type of philosophy, researchers believe that reality is stable
and can easily be observed with the help of objective viewpoint. It is highly structured and
includes large number of sample (Kumar, 2019). In positivism role of the investigator is limited to
interpretation and data collection. It says that researcher should collect factual knowledge with the
help of observation, which is trustworthy and includes measurements also.

Interpretivism: It is also known as interpretivist which includes researcher in order to
interpret elements or factors of the particular study. It helps in providing information on the basis
of social action theory. This type of philosophy mainly focuses on qualitative rather than
qualitative analysis.
In this research, interpretivism philosophy has been chosen by the investigator as this type
of philosophy gives information on the basis of human perception.
Research approach
Research approach refers to the procedure or plan which includes various steps of
collecting, interpreting or analysing data. Researchers commonly use two type of approaches
which is inductive and deductive (Silverman, 2016). Both of these approaches are as follows:
Inductive Approach:- Inductive approach generally start with observations or theories
and at the end of the whole research process as a result of observation. No hypotheses is applied in
this type of research approach. Inductive approach includes search for pattern as well as
development of explanations.
Deductive Approach:- Deductive research refers to develop hypothesis on the basis of
existing theories as well as design a research strategy in order to test the hypothesis.
In this research, deductive approach is chosen by researcher in order to conduct the whole
research in an effective manner. It is used to reduce the risk or complete the whole research in a
short period of time.
Types of investigation:
Researcher can collect data on the basis of two common methods which includes
qualitative and quantitative.
Qualitative research: It is commonly based on feeling, words, sounds, emotions as well
as other non-numerical elements. It has been analysed that all those informations which can not be
considered in qualitative nature comes under this method of research (Taylor, Bogdan and
DeVault, 2015). Investigator gather information such as definition, meaning, concept and many
more. It is known as a theoretical method of collecting data.
Quantitative research: On the other hand, this type of method focus on collecting
information and resolve problems with the help of numbers. Main focus of researcher is to collect
information based on numerical data. In addition to this, researcher can collect relevant

information with the help of online survey and sampling method.
Mixed method: This type of research method includes both the quantitative and qualitative
method for drawing valid outcome. In this, quantitative method have been used for collecting,
integrating and analysing information through questionnaire. Whereas, qualitative method is used
to enhance reliability of investigation.
In this research, mixed method is used by the researcher in order to collect information
and analyse it in an effective manner for drawing valid outcome towards research problem.
Sampling Technique:
Basic meaning of sample is, it is the subset or part chosen from the whole population. In
addition to this, process of selection is known as sampling as well as total number of elements
chosen is known as sample size (Flick, 2015). Researcher use random sampling technique in order
to conduct the whole research in an effective manner. One of the main reason behind choosing
such techniques is that it provide equivalent opportunity to whole population to get selected as
respondent.
