operated. The main focus of launching these techniques is to simplify the day to day practices of
individual. In addition to this there are numerous of devices that are created for improving the
living standard by creating a smart home environment. This support in providing the secure,
comfortable and convenient work which is more energy efficient optical.

These days there is use of different internet technologies with the help of which
individuals can get benefits of proper conducting of activities. There is requirement of complete
and specific information of ways through which it can be performed. There is use of complete
and specific knowledge which makes it easy for individuals to perform activities (Bakar and et.
al., 2016). These days there is requirement of different techniques which makes it easy for
making proper understanding. In current days. There are different devices such as smart TV,
mobile, watch, etc. which are used in home to make environment relevant in context of external

part of human life and day to day operations they perform. This is because numerous of
technologies are being anticipated which work toward improving and simplifying the activities
performed by the people in their life. These technologies usually involves different home
appliances which are relevant as per today's requirement in order to simplify the work like
lighting, electricity, temperature, etc. by providing control to the owner with help of IOT to make
it more effective. Home can be made smart with use of internet friendly techniques which assist
in completely tasks frequently and with more efficiency. Smart home environment can be made
with use of internet and control them with hand. This makes environment positive and relevant in
context of external market. With the help of smart TV, smart watch, automated lights, windows,
curtains, etc. comfortable environment can be created. In current market, smart home
environment is result of lavish lifestyle which can be acquire with cost and time.
Among these devices smart phones and smart watches are more in trend which support in
performing particular task in quick manner at a comfort level without getting afraid of missing
them. According to the view point of Kumar and et. al., 2017, To make home environment smart,
there is requirement of internet connectivity through Wi- Fi, dongle, etc. which is effective for
performing activities in specific manner. By using internet smart devices can be used to enhance
the level of day to day activities as by connecting smart devices these activities can be performed
at more comfortable manner. The most common technology in these smart devices are smart

From the above mentioned information it can be summarised that internet has now
become one of the most crucial part of an individual's life and daily activities it performed. As
with the advancement of technological environment there are number of devices that get
launched in the market which support in developing a smart home environment such as smart
mobile, smart watches and many more which get connected with the internet for wireless
connectivity and help in improving the regular home practices. In addition to this, it has also
been found that the concept of machine learning is also getting popular among people in order to
develop a techno-friendly home environment. By performing investigation over this it has been
found that the majority of people are using smart devices in order to develop a techno-friendly
environment at their home. These devices are also embedded with the feature of IOT that support
in improving the operational efficiency. It also support in performing several activities like
simplifying the day to day operations, allowing people to perform multiple task at single time
and help in reducing the number of error that are basically found within the activities which
brings up more accuracy. On the other side, majority of people believes smart home environment
provides several benefits such as it provide more lavish and comfortable lifestyle, more security
to the home and virtual availability.
RECOMMENDATION
The smart home environment provide number of benefit to the people for performing
their day to day activities in more effective manner. But despite of this, sometimes the devices
get failed or create some errors which results into negative outcome or sometimes leads to
accident. Hence following are the recommendations that must be adopted by the companies to
reduce such chances:
 Companies must provide video manuals along with their content manual in order top
provide more effective instructions related with the use of devices. So that users keep in
mind the basic things that they required to consider while using a particular device
 In order to avoid the chances of error the manufacturer of devices must ensure that they
firstly test them in several manner so that error and defects can be detected in advanced
so that proper improvement can be made over this.

maintenance to the devices in order to ensure that it work effectively. In addition to this,
it must also provide regular up-gradation to software used within the system which
support up to a great extend in reducing the chances of accident or error that get detected.
Reflection
I am glad that I got this opportunity to perform investigation over such an interesting
topic i.e. “Identification of activities of daily life in smart home environment with Internet of
Things.” This is one of the most knowledgeable thing which required awareness among the
general people regrading the use of internet. By performing investigation over this I become able
to learn about several devices that are enabled with IOT connection and support in simplifying
daily activities. In addition to this, I get to know about internet of things. This topic is new and
relevant, hence I am able to perform it with full zeal as people are ready to share views about
IOT in home environment. I am able to conduct research activities with more effectiveness
because of team working and cooperation among them. I have less knowledge about different
tools and techniques which are used while conducting investigation due ton which there is lack
of guidance to team mates regarding it. Through Gantt chart I acknowledge about dividing
investigation procedure with their respective. Hence study is conducted within pre- determined
time with attaining and getting knowledge about aim and objectives.
