Reasons for choosing the project (e.g. links to other subjects you are studying,
personal interest, future plans, knowledge/skills you want to improve, why the topic is

There are two basic reasons for choosing this topic as mentioned below:
1) First reason is personal interest of researcher towards understanding basic role of presence
of high amount of cultural diversity in organisations.
2) Second reason is researcher's perspective in associated with developing effective solutions
by suing diversity as a tool in order to manage issues of gender pay gap in organisations.

Basic concept of cultural diversity
According to views of Amaded, K., (2019) Cultural diversity can be observed at workplace as it is
used for effective representation of a organisation. It is a issues that is present in every
organisation and with growing popularity of concept like globalisation has lead to high amount of
cultural diversity at the workplace. It arises because of many different reasons like nationality, age,
sexual harassment, religion, socio economic conditions, race religion, background, culture etc.
Issues arising because of gender pay gap:

According to view points of Barak, (2016), It can be said that gender pay gap can be identified as a
issue that has lead to development of lot of problems at workplace. It mainly occurs because of
non effective practises at workplace. This occurs because of gender pay gap leading towards
decline in overall productivity of employees and lead to increase in employee turnover. That lead
to delay in achievement of objectives and goals. This is the issue that arise when organisation is
not paying equal compensation to women and men employees. This has a direct impact on the
employee performance level and also they are willing to switch to other organisations.
Practises helping in dealing with issues of gender pay gap
According to view points of Gascoigne, (2019) there are many large scale organisations that are
operating their business at international level with instance to Jaguar company and are now
focussing on exploring some new ways that can help in reduction of gender pay gap. Some of the
important practises that can help in treating both men and women employees equal at workplace
must be adopted by the organisation.
