The aim of this research is, “The role of talent management and effective training in
meeting the negative impacts of COVID-19”. A research project on Bloomsbury Coffee
House”. An investigation conducted on Bloomsbury Coffee House, London, UK.

To assess the academic literature on talent management and its importance in
hospitality sector. and health issues impacting tourism and hospitality
To review the impact of COVID-19 on overall business operations and
performance of Hospitality industry of UK.
To examine the role of talent management and effective re-training in meeting the
negative impacts of COVID-19 in the context of Bloomsbury Coffee House. To make recommendations that could be adopted by Bloomsbury Coffee House to
overcome the issues and negative impacts of COVID-19.

The selection of current research topic is very vital and crucial as COVID -19 is a global
pandemic that is created negative impacts on all most all orgnisation and had brought
worst time for hospitality sector. Thus, the main reason of selecting current research topic
is to evaluated about the importance of talent management and effective training in
meeting and overcoming this adverse situation. Further, findings of current investigation

are vital and crucial for scholars and researcher as lead many significant information
associated with talent management and other vital aspects.

To assess the academic literature on talent management and its importance in
hospitality sector. and health issues impacting tourism and hospitality
As per the opinion of Susan Horner, 2020, recruitment of talented employees, staff
retention, effective training and building morale of employees are key essence of any
organisation that terms as talent management that is a vital role of HR department of every
organisation especially for an hospitality industry. Thus, it can be evaluated that talent
management is a vital concept that ensures building of morale and enhance performance
and efficiency level of employees and workforce to accomplish objective of organisation
along with leading better competitive strength to organisation in hospitality sector
(Crane,and Hartwell, 2019). Further, it has been also evaluated that many health issues
which consists of lack of proper hygiene and disease like malaria and other transitive virus
along with climate and change in food habits are main health issues and implication
associated with tourism and hospitality.
To evaluate about the role of talent management and effective training in meeting the
negative impacts of COVID-19.
As per the view points of Rajul Mathur and Saurabh Parashar, 2020, management of talent
and effective training are the most vital tool that could lead to meeting up the negative
impacts of COVID-19 as this global pandemic has changed the living and operations of all
orgnisation. Thus, effective training and proper guidance become more vital to meet and
cope up with this epidemic which consists more emphasis on hygienic and sanitization
training along with measures to stop spared of COVID-19 thus, effective training and
talent management plays a vital role in meting negative impacts of COVID-19 through
leant effective directions and guidance for employees (Hahn And et. al., 2020).
To review the impact of COVID-19 on overall business operations and performance of
Hospitality industry of UK.
With respect to the opinion of Murillo, E. and King, C., 2019, it has been evaluated that a
overall a negative impact is lead by COVID-19 on overall business operations and
performance of Hospitality industry of UK as the sudden lock down and fear of desires has
hampered the performance and productivity of all hotels and tourism organisation.
To determine the possible set of changes and modifications required in training and
other HR policies of Bloomsbury Coffee House to overcome the issues and negative
