Background
The employee performance appraisal is process that combining oral and written components
whereby management examined and give the feedback on the job performance of employees,
consisting steps to make improvement. The performance appraisal is regular review of job
performance of employee and contribution to an organisation. It is systematic examination of
employee’s performance and also understand the capabilities of an individual for development.
The organisations mainly use the performance appraisals to provide big pictures feedback to staff
members about their work and also justify the pay enhanced and termination decisions
(Bernardin and Wiatrowski, 2013).
Explain and justify the topic
For the survival and development of company, role of the performance appraisal is strategic
factor that cannot be emphasised. The performance appraisal is structures interaction among
employees and subordinate. Relationship among the organisation and performance appraisal
bring positive impact to employee’s performance. Food and beverage industry consists
cafeterias, pubs, restaurants, catering business and others (DeNisi and Smith, 2014). work under
this sector can be range from the packaging to preparation, transportation and also serving
beverages or food items. In food and beverage industry, performance appraisal analyse
employees on the basis of their ability to be collaborate and also make the better suggestion for
improvement purpose and create positive working relations with all staff members.
