ABSTRACT
Main purpose of conducting this research is identifying the major effects of sustainability
on supply chain management of Savoy Hotel, London. This purpose has been achieved by using
primary and secondary data, with the help of books, articles and many other sources of
secondary data collection, researcher has been achieved all objectives through research
questions. Questionnaire helped in getting of valid outcomes that result in attainment of all
objectives in completion of full research in systematic manner. Main findings of this research is
majority of participants have understood about the suitability and its impact of supply chain. Min
conclusion of current study is research aim has been achieved by researcher. At last, main
recommendations of the present study is to recommended different ways to Savoy Hotel, London
in maintaining of sustainability within their organisation.

CHAPTER ONE- Introduction
1.0 Introduction
Sustainability in the hotels has come a long way since the arrival of in-room ideas to
reuse towels as well as save water. Hotels are progressively taking a more mature method that
includes socially responsible practices and environmental policies. Along with this, supply chain
management is administration of the flow of services or products as well as includes all
procedure that transform raw material into final products. There is a direct relationship between
sustainability and supply chain management (Wu, Yang and Olson, 2019). Sustainable supply
chain management includes integrating financially and environmentally viable practices into the
whole supply chain development, from product creation and design, to material selection i.e. raw
material extraction and agricultural production and manufacturing, packaging, transportation etc.
Therefore, it is important for hotels to develop sustainability within their supply chain
management.
1.1 Research Background
1.1.1 Case Study Organisation Background
Savoy Hotel is a chosen case study organisation for this project. This is a luxury hotel
that opened in 1889 by Kingdom Holding (50%), FRHI and Katara and located in Strand within
the City of Westminster in central London, England. The Savoy is the luxury hotel in Britain that
is specialising in introducing electric lights all over the building, electric lifts, constant hot and
cold running water, bathrooms in most of the lavishly furnished rooms and many other
innovations. Hotel wants to enhance their supply chain management that is only possible by
developing as sustainability in this (Moretto and et. al., 2018). There are different advantages
that would be gained by Savoy Hotel because of sustainable supply chain management. These
are benefits are; improve community of supply, potential of new partnership, win more business
etc.
1.2 Statement of research problem
Today’s hospitality industry faced different issues within supply chain management such
as supplier relationship, fast-changing market, costing, quality customer service etc. These are
major challenges that have direct and negative impact on hotels. In order to overcome these
