ABSTRACT
Dyslexia is a learning disability in which an individual finds difficulty in reading because of
issues in determining speech sound and coding of words. It impacts those areas of brain that
processes the language. Research report is based on analysing the issues encountered by spouse
of patient with dyslexia. The background of research covers all the information related to
research as well as the areas covered in it. Literature review is very helpful in gaining deep
insights on the topic by reviewing viewpoints of different authors on a particular topic. Research
methodologies consists of various methods that helps in carry out research in systematic way and
accomplish outcomes in an effective manner. The time activities chart helps in determining the
starting and completion time of each activity of research in an appropriate way and ensures
completion of research within specified time frame.

dyslexia”
INTRODUCTION
Dyslexia is identified as a difficulty in learning to read. It can be associated with hereditary
factors or some other factors that influence the development of brain of an individual. It is a
specific learning disability in an individual which is neuro biological in origin (Alias and Dahlan,
2015). The individual with dyslexia is not able to recognise word accurately and have poor
decoding abilities. Its severity very from mild to severe and shows signs like low self-esteem,
depression, behavioural issues, unmotivated etc. This report is based on the topic “To analyse the
problems encountered by the spouse of the patient with dyslexia”. It covers background, aim
and objectives of research along with literature review section. Apart from this, it also includes
different research methodologies along with time table for proposed research plan.
BACKGROUND/ PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
Dyslexia is referred as a learning disability that affects the skills included in fluent and
accurate word reading and spelling. The main feature of dyslexia indicates complexities in
phonological awareness, verbal processing speed and verbal memory. The main purpose of
conducting the study is to analyse the issues encountered by spouse of patient with dyslexia. This
research helps in understanding about the dyslexia syndrome and its causes and symptoms
(DiBlasio, Hester, and Belcher, 2014). Also helps in determining the different types of dyslexia
that an individual may suffer from. Apart from this, the issues are identified that are encountered
by spouse. All this will help in gaining deep insights over the topic.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
Research Aim
Research aim is referred as the overall purpose of research. For answering the research aim
appropriately, proper understanding and knowledge of aim is necessary. It is specific to the
project and formulated in such a way that it attains desired outcome (Mills, and Clarke, 2017).
The aim of this research is “To analyse the problems encountered by the spouse of the patient
with dyslexia”.
