1.1 Significance of resources in teaching and learning
The term resources refers to the materials which are used as a source for instructing the
students or learners to facilitate and to achieve educational objectives. In other words resources
are designed to help the people who are motivated to develop their knowledge and learning
(Moreira-Fontán and et.al., 2019). Text books, lectures, digital learning source like video,
animation, images, audio are the few examples of resources. The purpose of resources in
teaching not only create the educational process interesting or attracting but assists the learners in
developing advance skills, values, attitude, ethics which directly or indirectly provide an edge in
the job hunting process. It helps to create a positive as well as organized environment for the
students and provide support in the process of learning and teaching. The report would discuss
the importance of resources in business teaching and learning process. It is an undeniable fact
that resources plays a key role in T&L as it brings diversity in the method of teaching and save
time, energy when giving the details of the subject matter. With the change in time, the concept
of resources includes various diagrams, models, charts, practical approach, application based
theories etc. to communicate the knowledge to the learners. Understanding and acquisition of
knowledge facilitate the learners with different resources. In T&L process, resources can be
classified into two different ways: when the material is used by the teacher it is known as
teaching resource but when utilized by the students or learners then it is called as learning
resources.
1.2 Evaluate the effectiveness of resources in business
The purpose and objective of resources has clearly explained above from which it could
be evaluated that it could help in effective learning as well as provide productive material to the
teachers (Menéndez and et.al., 2019). It is important to utilize variety of resources while teaching
such as handouts, videos, presentation etc. as in today's learning method the students and learners
expect advanced materials for teaching by using different strategies. It is significant while
selecting the kind of resources as it must ensure that it provides equal opportunity, reflect
diversity and challenge stereotypes. Illustration of this could be that the text and images being
used in the PowerPoint presentation must portray all aspects of the topic. Considering the
business which is the area of specialization the most common resource being used is desktop or

laptop as it is one of the excellent resource while connecting with the learners. In the world of
digitalization, being tech-friendly is essential for the students as well as teachers to better
communicate with each other. In the field of teaching business, there are ample of tasks which
cannot be possible without the help of computer (Apuke and Iyendo, 2018). Because the old
concept of teaching i.e. theoretical aspect could make the classroom a place of boredom and
learners might be less attentive. This is the sole reason for relying on the laptop as a resource. It
could store all the materials in the format of soft copy which could be shared to the learners also.
The additional physical storage and time to prepare material is also saved. The resource is
effective because even in the time of pandemic it was possible to connect with the learners
through google meets or zoom collaboration tools.
2.1 Analyse the resource design principles
The meaning of resource design is that it supports the learning goal and experience while
contributing towards the consolidated learning to maintain the sufficient quality and quantity.
Resource design could be effectively formed by communicating between the content experts,
teachers and learning peoples (Grant, 2019). It also uses educational practice which are creative
in nature. Teaching with the help of WordPress and Digital Tattoo Project are helpful and there
are few principles that should be followed such as respect, iteration, collaboration, sustainability
and efficiency. The resource design could be analysed with the help of an example. Students or
learners are offered that there is a single method to solve the application based question
according to the textbook or other materials. There are general principles of resource design
which should be strictly followed before selecting any resource. There should be flexibility to
include, add or reduce the content from the materials which could be possible in PowerPoint
slide or Word file. This is the good method to form the resource design and electronic resources

2.2 Assess the sources that inform resource development
Before selecting any resource or creating resource there is a requirement to search for
sources which provides developed resources. The very first thing while electing resources is to
evaluate from the course or syllabus of the business specialisation. That is the best manner to
scrutinize the resources because it directly provided by the education authority (McGrew, 2020).
There are many websites from where sources could be taken which provides detailed unit wise
materials for teaching business. Before considering the site it must be first evaluated that it is
authentic and the data is reliable. The information which is provided on Wikipedia is not relevant
and both the teachers and learners should avoid from using the sources. While developing
resource there is a need to look all the sources whether its electronic mode or textbooks. The
business specialization required sources which provides credibility and authenticity. Teacher
should consider the journals which could be accessed by taking licence. Whereas, before
following the resources there is a need to discuss other colleagues and teachers to get a feedback
before utilizing the source for learning and teaching. Teacher should able to evaluate the
authentic and non-authentic materials which provide lessons plans to the learners (Barron, 2020).
Therefore, source play an important role before figuring out the resources for the business. For
teaching and learning business, they also use various different software for the basic learning of

Inclusive curriculum design refers to the overall course structure which includes the

abundance and in today's world digital knowledge is openly licensed. So it is the role of the
