INTRODUCTION
A group assignment provides opportunity to people to enhance their skills and knowledge,
by making interaction and working in collaboration with others. In contrast with individual work,
engaging in group, also aid members to overcome from weakness and gain perspective of each
other to make project with more efficiency (Kabirifar and Mojtahedi, 2019). Under present
assignment, an elaboration of such a project which is made on “Reusing materials in building
demolition sites” is demonstrated. To conduct research on one of the field of construction, the
main reason is to optimize resources and maintain capital, if materials of demolishing sites can
be used for building new site. This would aid in analysing how waste debris can be utilized for
constructing new sites, with enhancing knowledge in the same field about new technology,
development and maintenance of sustainability etc. (Popkova and et. al., 2018).
On this group-project, four members have been work as team-leader, project-manager,
resource-manager and customer service manager. A description is made in this assignment on
entire roles and responsibilities of four members, including key specification of their personality
and skill profile. Along with this, construction based project plan is developed with illustration of
resource and time planning. Furthermore, critical evaluation is also done to evaluate contribution
of each team member in successfully completion of project.
TASK 1
1.1 Evaluate own skills and the skills of others through skills auditing and review.
The current project of construction includes several roles performed by the team members
who have strong presence in the success of the project effectively. As being project manager it is
highly important for me to evaluate my own role as well as the role of the team members
included in the same (Taofeeq, Adeleke and Hassan, 2019). In this skill construction project, I
perform the role of project manager whereas other three companion of mine performs the role of
Team leader, Resource management (Organising waste storage and materials storage) and
Customer service. Skill auditing as well as the review of four of our skills has been mentioned
below one after another effectively.

Skill audit review of my own
As per the information specified in my own skill audit, it has been realised by me that as
being the project manager I have to perform management role in the construction project of
reusing demolition construction site. This specific role requires effective proficiency in several
skills such as management, communication, problem solving and computer (Erdogan,
Šaparauskas and Turskis, 2019). Here, it has been analysed from my personal self skill audit I
have good proficiency in the management skill as from total 5 I have received 4 and 5 stars.
While computer skill of mine is moderate as I received 3 * into the same. On the other hand, if it
is talked about the Communication and Problem solving skills, it can be said that as per my own
viewpoint I quite weaker in that area. Thus, from the overall review of mine regarding the same
it is highly important for me to emphasise on developing communication and problem solving
skills by taking few learning session towards the same. Also, there is the scope of improvement
in the communication skills.

Skill audit review of Team leader
On the basis of the views expressed by the Team Leader himself while personal audit, it
has been analysed that management skill of the team leader is moderate. Whereas, the leadership
skill of the same person is good enough as per the role of the same person (Kimiagari and
Keivanpour, 2019). Communication skills of the team leader is highly effective in both the
verbal, written and non verbal. There is little bit scope of improvement is available in the
problem solving skill team leader has attained 4* in providing unique solutions to the problems
as well as issues faced by the employees. Last but not the least, it has been analysed that the team
leader is self motivated at lower level in terms of cheerful and helpful characteristic (Jackson,
2020). On the other hand while talking about the self initiative taken towards the same it can be
said that the respective team leader is proficient into the same.

The above mentioned skill audits of resource manager shows the overall proficiency
towards the skills. The above mentioned skill shows management skill of the respective manager
is highly strong, whereas skill associated with the computers and other technical terms is low
(Rudolf and Spinler, 2018). Communication skills of the same person is quite modern thus the
respective manager is required to take several initiative towards the same in order to improvise it
effectively with the future scope of success. The problem solving skill is quite fine as they
person has rated himself 4*. At the end, the skill audit has shown that the team leader is also
required to emphasise on improvising their own team working skill as the role of team leader
requires to emphasise on developing strong relationship with the team members so that they can
effectively perform their work with the support of the team member (Okoye, 2018).

Skill audit review of Customer service
This skill audit of the customers’ service manager clearly depicts that overall proficiency
regarding the above specified skills are fine few skills are still required to be modified effectively
so that success can be attained by them in the near future (Rahman and Adnan, 2020). On the
basis of the skill audit, it can be said that management skill of the same manager is fine but still
requires little bit of improvement, whereas if it is talked about the computer skill it is moderate
as the manager has very little command over the same. Apart from this, the communication skill
of the customer service manager is highly strong which is seen as the good factor as the person is
required to tackle its customers at constant basis with the polite manner so that they can maintain
the interest of the client towards them as also maximise their profits with by having strong
relationship with them (Spross, Olsson and Stille, 2018). Problem solving skill and self-
motivated skill is above the moderate level which simply means that the overall efficiency
regarding the same is fine but still it requires some improvement for accomplish their respective
goals and objectives of the department in the appropriate manner. This improvement can be
effectively brought by attending few grooming sessions towards the same

1.2 Develop role descriptions and responsibilities within a team.
The current project is regarding reusing material in building demolitions sites. In order to
perform the work effective for the clients, the respective authorised team leaders have developed
effective role descriptions as well as responsibilities within the team (Wuni, Shen and Mahmud,
2019). These roles as well as responsibilities are specified effectively for each team member are
explained below in rightful manner:
Role and responsibility of management (Project manager)
The first and foremost role of project manager is to emphasise on planning effectively on
the proposed project so that each and every activity related to the demolition can be
completed within the timely deadline (Yusen and et. al., 2018).
The next responsibility is hire, supervise and fire employees as per the core requirement
of the project.
Set goals for the demolition project so that things could get managed in the timely
deadline.
Execute each and every activity within the budget so that their profit margin does not get
affected.
Deliver project on the timely deadline to the client in order to maintain their relationships
with them effectively.
Manage overall project associated risks so that things could get managed in non
supportive time.
Role and responsibility of Team leader
Delegate work to all the team members according to their working capability
Manage finances as per the allocation so that it does not cross the budget
Monitor performance of the team members in order to check out that whether they are
working as per the expectation or not. Also, the team leaders are required to focus on
carrying out appraisals (Borkovskaya, Bardenwerper and Roe, 2018).
Ensures that the work is completed on time, to a high standard and in line with health and
safety guidelines
Showing new and inexperienced construction workers how to do the job
Working with technical drawings and plans.
