The smart managers oforganizations have realized the importance of increase in diversity with the implementationof the new ideas, services and products. Diversity can be defined as the differences that arepresent between the various dimensions of the employees including, race, age, sexualorientation and political beliefs. The frame references of a particular person are also shapedwith the help of various external factors related to the ways by which he lives and is raisedand the educational opportunities that are available for him (Baumeister, Ainsworth and Vohs2016). The essay will be mainly based on the levels of diversity in the various organizationalgroups. The effect of diversity in the effectiveness of teamwork in the organization and theanalysis of the advantages and the disadvantages of this concept related to the teamwork inorganizations will be discussed in the essay. Analysis of the role of diversity on the teamwork in organizationsAs discussed by, Benoliel and Somech (2015) the levels of diversity in the differentorganizations are not same. The diversity levels are related to the external factors that arepresent in the environment. The impact of the shared traits of the employees in organizationscan prove to be an advantage or disadvantage for them. The people who belong to the similarbackgrounds have same physical traits and are comfortable in the interaction with the people.On the other hand, the similar traits can also lead to the similar thought process of employeesand the lack of innovation. The thinking process in the organizations are affected by thesimilar traits of the people who are a part of the organizational processes. The teams or the

The preconceived notionsof the employees are thereby challenged by the different thinking process and diversebackgrounds. This helps in the opening up of new ideas services, products and processeswithin the organizations. The managers of the organizations strive for diversity by balancingindividuals that they select with respect to the internal factors which include, race, gender andage and the external factors which include, the educational experiences, differentbackgrounds, political ideologies and the educational experiences as well (Carter et al. 2015).The managers try to encourage the feedback, start discussions with the diverse teams andgroups. This can further help in the flexible process of decision-making and active listeningto the issues and thoughts of the employees by the managers. According to Eisenberg, Gibbs and Erhardt (2016), the diverse workplaces are able tocreate better results for the organizations. The multicultural teams have been found to bemuch more effective in the various studies as compared to the homogenous teams. The ethnicdiversity is related to the success and the innovation levels in the organizations. Theindividual teams are making sure that the different viewpoints, different perspectives anddifferent backgrounds are present in the various teams. The idea that is related to the differentperspectives can provide better results at work has been also examined from macro-economicperspectives as well. The various researches have shown that the diverse cities are able toexperience high levels of economic growth as compared to the less diverse cities. Thebuilding of multicultural teams can put pressure on the managers of the organizations. Therifts that occur between the different cultures can also cause issues even is the members of theteam are not directly involved in the conflicts (Fay et al. 2015). The managers of the diverseteams need to encourage the practices that can keep the potential frictions low. The effectsrelated to the disharmony between cultures can reduce the effectiveness of the managers in
