Purpose of the assessment The purpose of this unit of the assessment is to give detailed idea
of knowledge and skills which is generally required for the
process and planning of the assessment. The goal or objective of
the facilities unit is making the students understand the unity of
RPL or recognition of prior learning. The individuals who are
solely responsible for planning assessment related work that are
involved in assessment system of RPL or recognition of prior
learning. In this facilities unit of planning activities and
processes, individuals has been advised to recognize some
elements that are to be used generally analyzing and interpreting
tools of assessment. The implementation of which are to be used
in planning and formulation also stated.

Certificates The certificates that had been received from earlier course which
may be beneficial in assessment of RPL tools.
Performance appraisal report The performance appraisal report will assist in the process of
evaluation the RPL assessment process in carrying out the
assessment plans( Element 1and 3)
Evidence need to be provided within a fortnight.
There should be no licensing or legal issues in the assessments.
Privacy should be maintained in case of performance appraisal
report in not naming each individual publicly.
The assessment results will be taken in recorded form and also
reports will be generated in school computer recording system

What is RPL?
RPL is a form of assessment that possess in identifying knowledge and skills which may be achieved
through academic or industrial training , work and overall life experience. The skill development and
training can be either formal or it is totally based on prior activities of the candidates2.
What you need to do
In each facilities unit can vary and they are to be submitted in either words in portable document
format. Evidences like third party reports, certificates, minute of the meeting, appraisal report, face to
face interviews.
What evidence you can supply
The evidence to be supplied may vary and need to be submitted in either word or in portable document
format. The evidences like appraisal, face to face interviews, certificates, and third party reports
Coverage
The RPL claims need to be submitted in one or single unit and it need to be completed. There should
not be any space for partial entries.

Verifying Assessment Instruction- The evidence need to be submit by students in order to checklist
the evidences they had used.

ANSWER
The Legal requirements that includes anti discrimination, responsibility/job role, equal employment,
conditions , relevant industry codes and practices, privacy and confidentiality requirements, quality
checking both business plan as well as performance needs to be followed during the purpose of
assignments. The equitable resources and its procedure, as well as collaboration of arrangements and
partnership were followed. Resource parameter is defined and arrangements and arrangements for
mutual assessment plans were made.
The process and system related to industrial relation, agreements of enterprise and awards needs to
undertaken. Australian quality of framework and training scope for registration as well as HR
policies were need to be followed during recognition of prior learning or assessment of RPL

 Reporting and Identifying OSH concerns and hazards to relevant personnel
The original evidence is needs to be verified.
 In the RPL assessment plan, the evidences that has been provided match the
arrangements provided. Each of the evidences has been evaluated accordingly.
 Suggested evidences are product reports and job descriptions
 Practical skills can be assessed by performance appraisals and as well as interviews
 Third party reports were prepared and secondary evidences has been collected by
candidates.
 Valid authenticate, reliable, and sufficient are the rules of evidence which are strictly
followed.
 All evidence types do not reflect industry expectation and current workplace rules.
 Evidences were of standard quality and all the rules were followed. The quantity of
evidence could have been less.
 Recording tools were needed to be upgraded from conventional computers to cloud
based system or sever.
 Among the dimensions of competency which are to be addressed, transfer skills ,
contingency skills, task skills, transfer skills could have addressed in detailed manner.
 The plagiarism free work need to be assessed by the students.
 Each of the evidence was documented in a proper manner and they were analyzed and
paraphrased properly.

Feedback
You are required to engage relevant personnel to trail your assessment tool. This should be your
supervising TAE qualified staff member or another colleague who has knowledge in the vocational area
of the unit chosen.
Have them trial the tool to validate the content and applicability (you could ask them to complete the
review checklist from above or to complete the tool as a student would to test usability)
Document the feedback you have received relating to the trails conducted. You can summarise the
feedback in the box below or screenshot evidence of feedback received (i.e.) email response.
Comments:
Zane Davidson who is my TAE qualified supervising teacher trialed this assessment tool. He completed the tool as if
he was a student (student perspective) and also completed the quality review check.
Zane felt that the collection instrument was well set out and assisted the RPL student well.
He felt that some questions on the verbal test could be altered to improve the readability of these.
