Physical abuse-
The physical abuse is caused by using
physical force against them that eventually
results in physical pain, serious injuries and
impairment as well. The physical assaults
should be stopped in HSC so that it may not
physically abuse to patients.
Emotional abuse-
The emotional or psychological abuse is
termed as teasing adults that result in serious
illness such as depression, chronic disorder,
threats etc. It also includes shouting and
aggressive attitude in order to make adults
scared. It also includes passing bad and
sarcastic comments to elder adults that lead to
psychological abuse to them. The emotional
abuse should be eradicated by HSC to larger
extent.

Sexual abuse-
The sexual abuse is another serious abuse as it
involves undesired sexual behavior by one
person to another. It is also termed as
molesting other person. Sexual abuse by care
provider is serious crime and is mostly
observed in healthcare.
The indicators of abuse are numerous. It
includes unexplained such as scars, burns,
fractures. It also includes malnourishment and
poor hygiene. These indicators should be
eradicated by healthcare and as a result, adults
should be safeguarded from such abuses. The
abuses may have ill effects on the adult
patients such as low self-esteem or getting
less involved in social gatherings etc. They
may lose confidence also too much extent.
The repercussions of abuse also involve
reluctance towards certain people or having
fear towards them and even suicidal thoughts
may be evolved. They may also indulge in
anxiety and mental stress. Indicators may also
be such as health problems like ulcers,
insomnia, breathing problems which have
serious impact on the health of adult patients.
As such, healthcare has the responsibility to
safeguard the interests of service takers so
that they may be treated but not get abused in
the healthcare.
