INTRODUCTION
The life expectancy for older Australian is increasing due to the medications, nutrition and
other healthcare facilities. Given the rapid aging of all around the world population and
accompanying increase the aging related disabilities as well as diseases. It is most commonly
“Dementia” condition that mainly associated with older person. Generally, Dementia effect on
the older person and develop the symptoms such as memory loss, disorientation.
The documentation will clear with accomplish the purpose and urgent requirement for
therapies against towards degenerative ageing process. it will discuss about the dementia issue
and how it will associated with the current condition of older person and also impact on the
safety. Furthermore, the documentation will describe that how dementia condition affect on the
older person ability and how perform the safety measurement in daily activities. However, it will
identify the implication for patient safety in term of development through nursing care plans.

Discuss the issues associated with Dementia” condition of older person and which impact
patient safety in the clinical environment.
Dementia is a type of brain disorder that most often affects the elderly. It caused by death
of nerve cell and failure in brain. It is also known as Alzheimer’s disease, which is commonly
cause. As per estimation, it has found that there are on third of people age 75 and older may have
faced the issue of Alzheimer’s in Australia (JAZI & ASGHAR-ALI, 2020). Although, older age
is the greatest risk factor in term of dementia condition. Sometimes, it cannot be consider as
normal part of aging. The dementia condition my include problem or issue with memory loss,
language, thinking and impairment to behaviour or social skills.
In additional, there are various factors that can increase level of risk for developing
dementia. It may include smoking uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure. The dementia
condition might be reversed when they are directly caused by dehydration or other treatable
issue.
On the other hand, dementia condition has increased the issue among older people who
will suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and other vascular (JAZI & ASGHAR-ALI, 2020). It may
