2A STUDY ON THE SATISFACTION OF THE AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION ON THEINTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: EMERGING ISSUES A recent study conducted by a select committee on the Australian education system andcurriculum appointed by the minister of higher education noted that there is a tremendousincrease in the number of enrollment by international students. The committee indicated anincrease of 2.3% as compared to the last 10 years (Lamb, 2015). This leads to a ratio of 1:50students; where we have one international student per every 50 local students. Bond University,University of Divinity, Edith Cowan University and Griffith University are the leading universitywith the highest number of international student enrollment per year. La Trobe University,Charles Darwin University and the University of Technology Sydney are low on the ranking listwith the least number of International student enrollment (Norton, 2013). According to the study, the international students are most likely to be satisfied with theAustralian universities and their curriculum. According to a study done by an American basededucational organization, Australian curriculum is one of the most renowned and one thatexposes the student to not only the theoretical part of the study but also the social and practicalpart of the study. The curriculum in itself it appreciates diversity which could be another keyreason for high number international students (Devlin, 2013).In a close check of the reasons why the student has the most prevalence list ofuniversities, the universities had embraced the power of technology. The university has the bestlibraries and computer lab is the world. These pose as the best place for the students to researchtheir assignments even in their countries through the online library in their blackboard portal(Harry, 2013).
