2PROJECT DELIVERY SYSTEMIntroductionProject delivery method is defined as a fixed set of systems that are used by constructionagencies and contractors for developing a particular construction or design of a structure. Thesealso include, design, development, operations and maintenance. However, the proposed deliverysystem must be approved by legal agreements between the agencies and the parent organizationsthat have commissioned the project in the first place. Selection of a suitable project deliverysystem is necessary in order to ensure the success of the project. Construction projects aregenerally large scale projects and hence, selection of suitable delivery model is necessary. Theproject is built upon the research of project delivery systems and is continued to the design of anew project delivery system. Project delivery method is defined as a fixed set of systems that areused by construction agencies and contractors for developing a particular construction or designof a structure. These also include, design, development, operations and maintenance. In this particular project, the preliminary design of the project delivery system must beapproved by the supervisors after which, the final design will be developed.1. Overview1.1 Project Title (Project/Program Delivery Systems)The title of the project is the design of a new project delivery system for the companyunder which, the research is being conducted. Before designing the project delivery system, aliterature review and research process will be conducted on project delivery systems. The chosencase for the design of the delivery system is the Construction of Dam Spillway Upgrade in South

This was conducted in order to construct some additional upgrades tothe originally existing Wivenhoe Dam in Queensland.1.2 Project BackgroundThe project is built upon the research of project delivery systems and is continued to thedesign of a new project delivery system.
