Reflection
1. According to Khaleel and Alkhaldi (2017) in the manufacturing sector ERP, is the
platform which can be typically use multiple small applications for synchronizing all
business under a single room. ERP solution can be used in the manufacturing sector to
address various challenges which it faces regarding traceability and regulation,
production development and regulation, environmental considerations, gap in
manufacturing skills and balance system throughout with proper maintenance. The
implementation of ERP system in manufacturing companies help in cost reductions and
management, process efficiency, product quality and balance between supply and
demand.
As stated by Greenwood and Rasmussen (2016) ERP system needs to be implemented in the
education sector in order to cope with the advanced technological changes which are occurring in
the world. The implementation of ERP in the sector of education helps in eliminating human
efforts and helps in reduction of the lead time, which in turn enables the organizations belonging
to the education sector with increased energy and time for focusing on the educational aspect the
most. The implementation of ERP in the sector of education will help in better management of
allocation and resources. The implementation of ERP in the sector of education will also help in
maintaining an efficient ecosystem. The implementation of ERP in the sector of education also
reduces the complications associated with paperwork and manual input of information. The
implementation of ERP in the sector of education helps in increasing the response time by
manifold.
The implementation of ERP in the health sector can be used to provide better care to the patients
as the implementation of ERP allows the ‘details of patients’ to be stored and transferred among
all healthcare providers so whenever a patient will visit a particular department or unit of a
healthcare sector, the patients ‘information will be updated accordingly which will enable the
doctors to provide the right treatment according to the current health conditions of the patients
and it will also speed up the process of receiving payments from insurance companies based on
the current health data of the patient. As opined by Poba-nzaou et al. (2014) the implementation
of ERP in the health sector will also enable strategic planning in the health care sector as the
