Introduction Corporate social responsibility refers to a business self-regulation which is aiming to do good for society in order to achieve different philanthropy, charitable nature of practices. The report consists of different corporate social responsibility initiatives and their effects on the society in which SC Johnson carries on their business. Main Body 1 Impact of SC Johnson’s CSR Policies There were a number of initiatives taken by SC Johnson in order to improve the product of the company and also lighten up the carbon footprint there leaving on the environment. In order to reduce their footprint they continue to use renewable energy and different sources throughout the world. The major impact of this was that the 34% of energy they used in their activities were actually developed from the renewable resources. It is necessary for organisation to make sure that all the raw materials and packaging services they are using by the community is successfully providing them output. In order to do so they are using a transparent supply chain programme which is serving and auditing all the suppliers and making sure that they are following all the human right, safety, sustainability and business ethics. This is successfully helping organisation to enhance their brand image and brand value in public. This is a great way for organisation to develop sustainable processes that will provide those benefits in long run. It is a great way for SC Johnson to partner up with their suppliers and make sure that suppliers are treating their employees fairly. In providing such benefits of stopping forced human labour and human trafficking is also a great way which will be beneficial for organisation in long run (Al-Mamun and Seamer, 2020). Along with applying this on their own organisation companies also looking towards their suppliers and making sure that their suppliers do not discriminate amongst their employees(Naidoo and Fishe, 2020). This analysis includes the hiring, advancement, discipline, retirement, compensation as well as termination of employees in the organisation basis on their caste, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, physical disability, health conditions, religion and so on.
