For instance, the computer systems needed in the company will be enabled with the Windows 10 Operating System. The web development, web design, and testing tools will also run on the computer hardware using the networking peripherals. The MySQL database will be implemented on the data server. The CRM and CMS tools will be integrated on the website developed. Technical Options The technical options available for the business include the release of a mobile application along with the website as it will offer enhanced enterprise mobility, better user engagement levels, and enhanced flexibility. SCEI Website Test Plan Test Methodology The test methodology that will be followed in the project will be Six Sigma and Total Quality Management (TQM) standards and methods. The use of these methodologies will ensure that the overall quality of the tools and equipment is maintained (Ravichandran, 2006). Testing Tools There will be testing tools that will be followed and included in the project. HP Quality Centre is the tool that will be used for test case creation, test execution, and defect management. There will be automated testing activities conducted using the Selenium tool. It will be used in the performance and security testing methods. Performance Testing There are various system qualities that will be tested for the vendor products and equipment. Performance will be one of the primary qualities that will be tested using performance test cases and their execution. The performance will be tested on the basis of product response time, throughput time, load balancing abilities, and user responsiveness. There will be increase and decrease of the load on the products that will be applied to determine the variations in the performance of the product as per the load applied on it. Usability Testing The usability test activities will be carried out in a set of phases. The prototype of the end- product will be obtained from the three vendors. The prototype will have limited set of functionalities. A usability test plan will be already in place comprising of the roles and responsibilities of the testers, details of the usability testing tools, and the defect logging process. The test will be conducted at the business locations of Around the World and the usability test cases will be executed. The test results will then be documented (Hertzum, 2016). The vendor product and prototype that will have the least number of defects reported will then be selected. 4
SCEI Website Security Testing Security of the vendor product is one of the essential requirements. It will be tested in a phased manner. There will be security test cases developed in the first step that will include the security aspects of the website from the areas as information privacy, information security, network protection, network security, and likewise. The security test cases will be executed to ensure that the product is protected from the security events as malware attacks, man in the middle attacks, eavesdropping attacks, denial of service attacks, and distributed denial of service attacks, data breaches, data manipulation, and data leakage. The access control, authentication, backup abilities, and the security controls integrated with the tool will also be determined during the test processes (Grossman, 2012). Quality Assurance & Control There will market reviews and customer response analysis carried out for each of the vendor product to understand the customer satisfaction and engagement levels. Quality audits and reviews will also be done as per Six Sigma and TQM quality standards. Defect Logging & Reporting There will be various defects that will be reported after the conduction of different types of testing activities. These defects will be logged using the HP Quality Centre as the tool. The defect will have various fields that the tester shall include. These will include a unique defect id that will be automatically generated by the tool. The other information will include the heading for the defect, defect category, defect summary, detailed description of the defect, steps to reproduce, expected outcome, actual outcome, resource responsible for handling the defect, reproduction rate, priority, and severity levels.
