INTRODUCTION
Business ethics or ethical code of conduct is very essential to be implied in every
organization. These ethical code of conduct will guide the organization to perform its work in the
desired way of direction. Ethical consideration are required to be followed by every company
because it will not only maintain the level of business but at the same time it will also help to
implement the desired rules and regulations in the company. This report will discuss the
importance of following the ethics in the organization along with its linkage with the culture of
the company. Sexual harassment and the loopholes regarding the implication of Schein's model
in the AMP limited is also being discussed in this report.
MAIN BODY
Schein's model:
As per this model of culture the organisational culture is divided into parts:
Artifacts:
It refers to that culture which is being seen outside the company or the organisational
structure. As per this mode the culture that is being visible outside the company will constitute
its ethical structure. This may includes language that is being used in the organisation or the
physical artifacts including infrastructure and various other.
Values:
This includes the actual norms and values which is being made by the company and
followed within the organization. This gives more deep information and details about the
company's culture and ethical consideration.
Basic assumption:
It is a type of belief that is being taken for granted and applicable and followed within the
organization. These are the general belief or facts which is being applicable in the company and
followed by the organization (Edgar Schein’s Model of Organizational Culture, 2020). This
could also be understood as assumption about time that how it will be used or defined or
assumption of the company regarding the relationship with the environment.
Thus, from the above model it would not be wrong to said that what is being seen outside is not
that much important when it will be compared with the actual reality. Thus, following of
business ethics in the internal management of the company will help it to meet the issues and
scandals that may occur or arise in the near future. As it is seen that AMP limited is facing or
