Introduction
Cultural heritage refers to the legacy of various assets which are tangible and intangible
in nature. It belongs to a group or a society which is inherited from past generations. It is not
compulsory that all legacies are of the past generations but it is a product of selection by society
itself. Cultural heritage includes the customs, beliefs, rites, rituals, ceremonies, indigenous
knowledge, social traditions, arts, crafts, music, political and ideological beliefs. All these
influences the culture and behaviour along with the history and many practices which is
concerning the natural environment, religious and scientific traditions (Macdonald, 2020). The
following discussion is based on the science museum which is a cultural of heritage attractions. It
is established in 1857 and located in London, United Kingdom. It is one of the major museum
which has city's major tourist attractions which attracts 3.3 Million visitors annually. The below
report covers the main aspects regarding the science museum such as judgement on conservation
practice at science museum using various principles in the literature and its applications into the
real life. It will include the visitor management and other issues related with the experience
observed so that proper conclusion and recommendations can be made in an appropriate manner.
Judgement on conservation practice at science museum - how sensitive this
site is, how well it?
Conservation refers to the act of trying to protect or preserve something which is a
limited resource to use. Conservation practices at museum aims to preserve the historic things by
eliminating the factors of environment. This is because environment factors causes the
deterioration. There are several factors which affects the collections in the museum and the the
major ones are the temperature and humidity. There are numerous conservators who manages
and look after such things for better maintenance of the objects kept in the science museum. For
example, they manage and preserve along with the treat and document the works of science and
artefacts along with the specimens. These are the works which highly requires the substantial
scientific research in order to find out the ways to conserve (Timothy, 2021). Conservators
initially document their findings and the treat the items in order to decrease their deterioration or
to make their original state possible by restoring it. There are procedures which are adopted by
the science museum for conservation such as development of an appropriate storage and displays
areas. They also install the mechanisms of climate control with help of careful and routine
