Part A
This was found out that one was able to gather a lot of knowledge regarding the principle
of Treaty of Waitangi and its application during the internship at Root Restaurants in New
Zealand. Most of the aspects of the Treaty are used in the business practices as observed by the
interns for continuing the business in a more ethical and smooth manner. According to this
principle, the partnership, participation and protection attributes should be present between the
parties for reflecting the good faith and the reasonability actions. Therefore this can be said that
the intern should implement this principle for ensuring the mutual benefit of the intern as well as
the organization. This theoretical principle would help to protect people’s right to get involved in
the business.
One of the major keys towards business success is the communication skills that can only
be improved by the internship as the interns would be trained on how to maintain effective
communication with the clients. This is found out by the critical analysis that in most of the cases
the formal conversation continues from top to bottom and from bottom to top. The
communication mostly takes place in such an order that the directors convey the message to the
senior manager and then the manager conveys it to other mediators and then to other employees.
The informal communication allows direct conversations between the managers and the
employees.
Root restaurant has conducted an internship in a very efficient manner as the interns were
treated how to remain loyal for the job position in such a restaurant. The interns are also treated
to focus on the industry values for maximizing the organizational values and the reputation in the
market. The Root restaurant also reflects the sensitive approach towards the internship
requirements and this was also found out that the Root restaurant’s manager also put good faith

for the interns and supported them throughout their work. This restaurant also includes the major
objectives of the business for providing the greatest food to the customers during my internship
period.
This has happened during my internship that the company were developing their business
as per the current trends of the business. In my internship, this developed my improvement skills
in the communication areas, leadership strategies and others responding to the market changes
and the market trends in the restaurant industry.
The internship experience is required as it usually helped any employees of the
restaurant to deal with the hard situations. The interns are able to deal with such situations by
reflecting the maturity level. This is also found out that Root restaurant was lacking behind based
on the adoption of the present business trends of sales and the business performances. This could
be noted that Root restaurant are required to adopt the present trends of the business market as
the customers usually complain about the taste of the restaurant’s food. Thus this is
recommended for the Root restaurant to utilize the feedbacks of the customers for providing
efficient services to the customers and resolving such issues in the restaurant.
Part B
I had a great experience as the internship experiences, and the researches that I have gone
through has helped me to enhance my learnings as well as developing skills like communication
and leadership skills. The research in the restaurants has helped me to find out and develop my
understanding skills of the research methodology, applications of research methodologies and
others. This internship period changed my knowledge regarding the market values, how to
handle the critical situations in the business by various tactics. The effects of the present business

trends have helped me to find out the effect of the present business trends in the business. The
overall experiences generally improve the skills that helped me to play the role of the assistant
manager in the restaurant business.
This can be stated by relying on the questions that have been raised in the research
questionnaire that the questionnaire plays the greatest role in the business process. This is so
because it has helped the business to develop the knowledge regarding the business process and
the present trends of business followed by the Root restaurant. The questions have also helped to
accumulate the views and the opinions of the customers to the restaurants and their product and
services.
I was able to develop an important scope and opportunity for developing my job role in
the restaurant sector by attaining the internship program. This was so because by getting the
elaborate explanations regarding the restaurant’s operation, its management, culture and the
market trends. The internship program helped to provide every informations that an individual
could run and manage the business in an effective manner. I have followed every possible
guideline and the instructions during my internship period. the business manager and the boss
has helped me a lot in my research field, by supporting to determine the customer’s views and
opinions towards the products and services based on the operation of Root restaurant. With the
help of his guidance, I was able to develop the research questions based on customer views and
also helped me to accumulate some funds for completing the research study. This will be helpful
for the research business to adopt the present business trends. Through this project I was able to
understand the significance of the qualitative and the quantitative research type, the research
designs were understood by this project.

This internship period has helped me to develop my interpersonal skills like patience,
customer handling, and listening skills. This also helped me to follow the model of customer
satisfaction; this research is carried out by the inductive approach with the positivist philosophy
in the research work.
Part C
The major aspects of the business individual are the workplace safety and its security, whether
the individual is the intern or the regular employee they are needed to follow the healthy and the
safety guidelines for any organization. On the first day of my internship, the Root restaurant was
able to provide the safety guidelines by the HR. the manager is the one who is responsible for
raising awareness of safety among the interns. The example situation that changed my
perspectives is that the interns were able to found out that the in the restaurant’s kitchen due to
some mistake gas leaked out then by realizing that the intern informed other and this reflects the
significance of the safety protocols and the safety guidelines. By this incident, the interns also
reflected the leadership traits by showing empathy and respect towards the co-workers. The
intern also reflects his helpful nature towards his colleagues and also motivated the managers to
bring the change management in the business practices. The employees also showed a positive
attitude toward the intern and were pleased by his helpful behaviour towards the organization.
Through this incident, it is clear that the intern showed the features of the efficient communicator
towards the business.
This research study is followed by the data collection through the depth surveys as it is
already explained regarding the objectives, scope and purposes. This study suggests that the
misinterpretation should be avoided by the statistical tools and the analysis tools for making the
collected data relevant for the decision-making process. The research outcomes can be used as

an analysis of the factors, which affects negatively to the business operations. This has led the

I gained the effective experience from my internship period which has helped me to
develop my personality within the organizational culture. I have noticed that the various changes
in myself that I was not able to talk firmly with the co-workers, managers because of the
inexperience and the fears for the failures for continuing the interactions with the managers and
the co-workers, the clients have helped me to realize the significance of the interpersonal
communications.
I was also able to learn and accept the criticism, and I was also helped to understand the
