SELF-REFLECTION 2Self- ReflectionSelf- Assessment ResultsThe results of the self-assessment that I took were agreeable to me. It made me discover my strengths and weaknesses as pertains to how I understand the people and the organization that i work for. Being a supervisor in a hotel and managing a large number of people, self- assessments are an important way of keeping check so that one knows whether they are doing theright thing for the sake of employees and the overall organization (Johns, 2017). The self assessment was an eye-opener as it enabled me to gauge how I interact with staff, whether I motivate them and whether my personal goals are aligned to those of the Hotel I work for. According to the self- assessment, my weak areas were listening to staff, self performance management, change acceptance and enabling the staff to work as a team. These results are a true reflection since due to the nature and pressure of work, sometimes it is quite difficult to get time to listen to employees. I also do not keep track of my perfomance sometimes and find it hard to accept some changes. Some staffs are also difficult to handle hence making them work as a team in the cleaning department is quite a task.What I have Learnt about MyselfThe self- assessment has enabled me to embrace my strengths and not to be afraid of knowing my weaknesses so that I can improve on them. I have learnt that I need to keep frequenttrack of perfomance so that the perfomance management process becomes easy. I need to note down by performance goals and ensure that while I carry my supervisory role, I work towards meeting the same (Bolden, 2016). This will also help me notice weak areas early in the year hence improve on them. I have also learnt that when the Hotel carries out change, it is for the benefit of us all hence I should embrace rather than be afraid of it. As a supervisor, if i resist
