Introduction
The concept of the sexism is basically an ideology regrading oppression that is similar to
the concept of racism. Sexism is the set of the nature and the social attitudes dependable on the
fundamental belief that women belongs to the inferior section of the society (Unit, 2016). As per
the historical concept, the context of sexism is same that of a daily life. The essay argues to
discuss the theory of sexism, its nature and background, illustrating the current debates of public
policy. The essay furthermore expresses the personal opinion of proposed solutions towards the
relevant challenges in the context of sexism.
Discuss the historical and contemporary aspects of your topic
Since the historical event that took place, Women Rights had been an essential topic for
debate. The growth and the advancement of the rights of the women varies from one country to
another. In many of the nations, thought there lies varied geographical and cultural differences
women still claim for their voting rights. In the year 1994, around the globe within ten countries
women were the head of the government. However, in more than 100 countries none of the
female members was there who used to serve the legislative bodies. Although the presence of
discussion regarding the equal rights of men and women within the workplace, the feminie
gender had been constituting more than 70 per cent of the world’s poverty.
According to the survey, as conducted by Benton-Greig, Gamage & Gavey (2018),
within the region of UK only 8 per cent of the women can hold a position in the top managerial
position.
Within each year, although the number of women who enters into the world of higher
education and within the university seems to be increasing in terms of quantity, the gap that

exists within the gender traits has risen enormously in the recent times. From the time of the
historic period, the feminine gender has always been the disadvantaged gender. According to ()
in the education sector, more than two third of girl child drop their school in the country which
makes up about globe’s two third of the adults who are illiterate. Though the rate of the women
participating in the higher education and initiating university level education are increasing, the
gap between the two gender in the recent years.
Some of the exciting fact that exists in the present era of the globalisation is the women’s
greatest achievement resulting from their reproductive rights. Among the various nations, within
recent times the act of abortion has also been made legal. Moreover, women’s tend to possess a
broad scope of preventive measure and cures such as the birth control pills (Serano, 2016).
However, this particular area of focus has been a topic of middle point of debate.
Within the region of the United States boundaries, the activities in terms of sexism have
started to gain much of the actions in the era of the early 19th century. Moreover, the country has
been introduced with the concept of revivalism, which has motivated the women of the middle
class for participating in the evangelical societies to create moral and social reform.
Within the country, much of the women were furthermore involved in the activity for the
eradication of the slavery which is directly connected to the organizations in the target for the
achievement for the rights of women.
