PROJECT MANAGEMENT 1. Title The title of the project is “Shane’s IOT Greenhouse project 2. Rationale 2.1 Problem domain It is found that in Australia, the farmers utilize manual method including hand weeding as well as utilization of hand tools for farming which creates number of issues including problems in weed seedlings, challenges in covering large scale area as well as more consumption of time. Therefore, it is very much necessary for the Australian farmers to adapt IOT based Greenhouse project. However, the famers are facing number of challenges in adapting IoT due to quality as well as because of lack of support in utilizing all the device and because of security challenges. 2.2 Purpose and justification It is found that the farmers of Australia have a major concern about the security as well as privacy due to large scale of dissemination in IOT based greenhouse project. In order to resolve the problem, it is very much necessary to utilize blockchain that helps in allowing the development of distributed digital ledger of transaction which is generally shared among different nodes of IoT. Thus, it is very much necessary to develop lightweight blockchain based IoT architecture for the greenhouse farms for providing proper security as well as privacy. 3. Supervisor Approval It is found that before the development of the lightweight blockchain based IoT architecture for the greenhouse farms, it is very much necessary to get approval from the supervisors of the project. It is found that without approval, the project managers will face
PROJECT MANAGEMENT number of challenges and issues and thus after getting approval, it is the responsibility of the project manager to initiate with the work of the project. 4. Research Questions The research questions are generally elaborated below: What are main issues and challenges while adapting IOT in farming? What are the advantages of adapting the IOT systems? Why country like Australia should adapt the IOT systems? 5. Conceptual or theoretical framework According toArshad et al.(2018), the emerging technology of greenhouse in the agricultural fields is utilizing IoT in order to monitor as well as for automate the entire process of farming. It is found that the technology of IoT helps the farmers in order to carry out the entire work plan within a farm without the utilization of manual inspection. On the other hand, it is stated byKadam et al.(2018) that the use of IoT in greenhouse farms creates major concern related to privacy as well as security due to large scale dissemination of the entire network. Thus, it is very much necessary to develop lightweight black chain based IoT architecture for the greenhouses farms for giving proper security as well as privacy. It is found that IoT devices in the greenhouses generally helps in acting as a blockchain that is generally managed centrally for optimizing the consumption of energy. It is found that IoT based greenhouse farming is considered to be quite advnatgeous due to number of reasons which are generally elaborated below: Precision farming:Precision farming is considered as one of the significant process that assists in making the entire procedure of faming much more accurate as well as

PROJECT MANAGEMENT controlled in order to raise the live stocks as well as growing of various types of crops (Liao et al., 2017). Livestock Monitoring:IoT applications are very much helpful for the farmers in order to collect different types of data and information irrespective of the location (Agnal et al., 2018).This information will be considered to be very much helpful in identifying the condition of the livestock. Smart Greenhouses:Greenhouse farming is considered as one of the important techniques that is helpful in enhancing the yields of the vegetables, crops as well as fruits. Greenhouse control-based parameters are generally utilized in two different ways either with the help of manual intervention or with the help of control mechanism (Kodali, Jain & Karagwal, (2016). It is found that smart greenhouse with embedded IoT is quite helpful in monitoring as well as controlling the climate thereby helpful in eliminating the requirement of human intervention. 6.Methodology 6.1 Analysis of sources of information It is found that due to the utilization of IoT based greenhouse farming in Australia, the farmers will get the opportunity of precision farming which provides them the facility of accurate as well as controlled procedure of crops growing (Liao et al., 2017).It is found that IoT based applications are also helpful for the farmers in order to collect data in context to location as well as well-being of the cattle (Lin et al., 2018).In addition to this, this information assists in determining the condition of the livestock. Moreover, it is analyzed that the use of greenhouse farming technique assists in enhancing crops as well as fruits by 30%. Additionally, it is found that the when the greenhouse based IoT embedded systems are used
PROJECT MANAGEMENT they are helpful in monitoring the climate b eliminating the requirement of intervention by humans. 6.2 Research and system development methods It is found that the paper utilizes system development life cycle method in order to provide a systematic procedure in order build as well as deliver the application of IoT from inception to the closure phase (Chauhan, Rana & Sharma, 2017).It is found that system developmentmethodologymethods, theprojectmanagersarecapableoftrackingthe progressoftheprojectquiteeffectively.Inadditiontothis, itisfoundthatSDLC methodology is mainly used in order to understand the various stages of the project effectively. 6.3 Data collection or system design methods It is identified that in order to collect information related with IoT based greenhouse farming, secondary data collection method is generally utilized. It is found that in order to collect information number of journals as well as articles that were published recently are reviewed in order to get proper as well as accurate information related with the problems in adapting IOT greenhouse and benefits of IoT based greenhouse farming. 6.4 Ethical issues It is found that there are number of ethical issues as well as challenges that can occur while the entire research is undertaken. The ethical issues are elaborated below: Confidentiality:Confidentiality of data and information must be maintained in order to avoid the ethical challenges. Protection:It is found that the individuals who are generally involved within the research should not be pressurized for doing any type of project work.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT Carefulness:Itisverymuchimportanttoavoidthecaselessmistakeswhile undertaking the research for avoiding different types of ethical challenges. 6.5 Compliance requirements The different governments as well as regulations that are generally related with the workplace must be followed while undertaking the entire project successfully are elaborated below: Health and safety act:Health and safety act needs to be followed in order to give safe working environment to the employees. Healthy work environment:It is quite important to have a safe as well as healthy environment of work for the employees for so that workers can work effectively without facing any type of issues.
