Abstract
The Shop It application is designed to enhance the marketing of the produced products and to
deliver services to their customers through the online medium. The categories offered mainly
by this application are food, wines and gifts. Along with selling these farm products it even
runs a side by the restaurant and delivers catering. Initially, in phase one two designs are
created out of which one is selected for phase two. In phase two the entire mock-ups were
designed depending on the requirements of the user. In the third phase, the design created in
phase two was being evaluated by other team and in the fourth phase, the amendments are
being performed in the created design suggested by another team during the phase three and
even prepared the documentation after the amendments are done according to the provided
feedback.
Introduction
The application for Shop It is designed to enhance the marketing of the produced farm
products and to deliver services to their customers through the online medium. The mock-ups
designed for this application includes various headers and footer on every screen that
includes icons of the back button, home and user account as header and chat box as a footer,
it contains several screens that are designed keeping in view all user requirements and
desires. It mainly includes the screen of home page through which main application pages are
linked with the provided links on the screen. It contains a screen for registration that allows
the user to enter or update his personal details along with address and contact details. It
consists of screens that provide special offers to customers and apply details related to
discount. Along with this screen for product search and product categories are even designed
that allows the user to search the desired product on the application and view all categories of
products offered respectively. Also, the screen is designed for providing location and login or
logout screen that allows tracking the location of nearby stores and allows the user to login
with their created accounts with the application of Shop It (Norman, & Draper, S1986).
It even runs a side by the restaurant and delivers catering along with selling these farm
products as a screen is designed for defining the facilities offered by the restaurant and also it
provides with the option of booking that particular restaurant for any sort of parties planned.
The application designed provides with several facilities that can be easily used by people
and even provides various features of usability and excellent navigation in all designed

screens. The created application is quite attractive for customers emphasizing them to make a
purchase and continuously use the application (Vicente, & Rasmussen, 1992).

The Shop It application is designed to enhance the marketing of the produced products and to
deliver services to their customers through the online medium. Various screens are designed
each of them containing the name of farm grow organisation along with its logo and even
contains icons of the back button, home and user account as a header on all created screens
and it even provides with the breadcrumbs for better navigation from one page to another for
the betterment of user. The reason behind the selection of this design is that it provides
various features of usability and excellent navigation. Also, it is attractive enough because of
its background and font style and colour used. It proves to be the best design because of the
application designed provides with several facilities that are user-friendly (Pinelle, Wong &
Stach, 2008).
User requirement
The user demands and desires an application on Shop It so as to acquire the services provided
through the online medium. By sitting at home one can purchase all farm-related product and
can even plan for parties in restaurants. The user requires various functionalities that need to
be present in the designed application that is a page for registration so that all personal details
of the user can be recorded in the application itself reducing the effort of re-typing them again
and again. Also, a functionality of login and logout screen is desired by the user along with
the screen of providing several special offers and discounts. The user even desires for a help
page where they can chat with several executive related to their issues faced, put their
feedback and can even contact the executives of Shop It. The feedback provided by the user
is being sincerely considered (Matera, Rizzo, & Carughi, 2006).
Factors influenced my design
The designing of the Shop It application is mainly influenced by several described Nielsen
Heuristic model or principles. These principles are used in the assessment of created design
along with enhancing of application and to make the design more effective and better. These
models include User control and freedom which focuses on the better navigation and control

the management of user, Visibility of system status which focuses on the designing of created
screens, Match between system and the real world which focuses on the components used to
get its resembles with the entities of real world, Error prevention which focuses on
introducing various applied liabilities and preventing various errors, Efficiency and flexibility
use which focuses on providing flexibility of advancement and simple in use, Help and
understanding which focuses on allowing better user understanding related to operations and
navigation (Jøsang, AlFayyadh, Grandison, AlZomai, & McNamara, 2007).
Discussion on similar interfaces
The Shop It application grants various facilities and features that can be easily used by the
user that are mainly the discount and offers applied to several users. It even provides the user
with the option of chatting and log in with several social media apps. Also, the user is
provided with facilities of the restaurant, even delivers catering and host small parties.
ArgiApp is the mobile application from where the idea to create the Shop It application was
grabbed or collected. ArgiApp application delivers entire information about the food
products services generated from the agriculture and farm. ArgiApp is a platform digitally
for online marketing using agri inputs and fulfils various services. It even uses various
usability principles of Heuristic model for better assessment of created designs of the
ArgiApp application (Belden, Grayson, & Barnes, 2009).
