MGMT20140: Simple Reflective TemplateTemplate number: 3 Name and student ID: Activity/experience Description: Design Theory Date of the activity/experience: Thoughts and Feelings DURING the activity: Workshop 3 took me closer to knowing more about the Design theory. I was highly interested in studying the methodologies and was keen on making notes to study later and compare them with the journals and academic articles that were recommended. Thoughts and Feelings AFTER the activity: The other methods of design thinking tend to propose the adoption of different methodologies to solve a particular problem at hand. Thus, I learnt that every individual must understand his/her target audience the right design can be implemented to achieve the desired results. In some cases, it is perceived that an action would have a higher impact while in certain other cases, empathy notably has a bigger impact on the viewers. Formation of a mindset before starting work on a design is deemed to be a crucial task. The workshop has helped me in not only improving my skills but also in improving my psychological mindset that would assist me in being a better professional every step of the way ahead. What can you learn from this activity? I learnt that once a visual is created, it is essential to review the logic behind it and whether the design is able to give across the message that it was intended to give in the first place. Not only in visualizations, the logical reasoning method is being used to analyse a problem and find the adequate solutions to deal with them. What can you do to develop yourself further in the context of this activity? I shall ensure that I read case studies and formulate my own understandings of the message that is expected to be given to the viewers.
