method of data collection. I am also responsible for completing each activities of investigation
within set of time.
Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Reasons
 One of the main purpose behind choosing this investigation or topic is to increasing
awareness about the importance of cultural diversity among business and employees.
 Another reason is personal reason for choosing this topic. As it support researcher to

learn more regarding the cultural diversity and also enhance their research skills
including literature review, data collection, data analysis and many other.
 Main purpose behind selecting ASDA for this project as they presently faced problem
of Physical and Mental Disabilities while management of cultural diversity. Another
reason for choosing this enterprise is they support society by offering job
opportunities to the unemployed people.

The impact of cultural diversity within a workplace.
As per the view point of Gillian Coote Martin, 2014, Diversity refers to the range of ethnic,
cultural and generational in a workplace. Cultural diversity within a workplace is that workers
belonging to divers cultures normally have various ways of thinking as well as can thus
examine a matter at hand from a different of perspectives. This is not easy to accomplish when
workers belonging to the same culture are asked to examine the same matter. Workers coming
from divers cultures have certain experiences, which can be essential by giving the enterprise
with a sound and vast knowledge base.
The importance of managing cultural diversity over business performance of ASDA.
As per the opinion of Katie Sawyer, 2018, there are certain impact of cultural diversity on
business performance of ASDA. It includes, innovation, respect, reputation, productivity,
growth and success. In order to manage culture diversity in a workplace is beneficial and
essential for ASDA by increasing productivity, improving employee engagement, increasing
profit, reducing employee turnover and improving company reputation.
Main issues that occurs at workplace due to Physical and Mental Disabilities.
As per the view presented by Rashidat Abidemi Anjorin, Avni Jansari, 2018, There are
different issues faced by ASDA due to Physical and Mental Disabilities. A diverse
environment can create poor communication which can lead confusion and mental disability,
especially in terms of complexity. Along with this, there are various issues or risk to mental
and physical disabilities such as inflexible working hours, low level of support, inadequate
health and safety policy for divers employees etc. These are major issues that negatively impact
over business as well as employees performance.

Section Four: Research approach and methodologies
Research Methodology: This section of investigation includes different methods
which is beneficial in gathering of appropriate amount of information about the selected topic.
Some essential and useful research methods will be shown as below:

Types of investigation: Qualitative and quantitative are refers essential types of investigation.
According to the current study, quantitative research method will be applied as it helps in
gathering of reliable data from questionnaire. On the other hand, qualitative is another type of
investigation which is not used for performing this study as it require additional sources and
also take more time.
Research Approach: Inductive and deductive are two approaches within an investigation.
Among this approach deductive research approach will be applied in effective manner. As it is
beneficial in collection of data in authenticate way from questionnaire. However, inductive
approach is not used for doing this study because it is is completely relay on observation.
Data collection: There are basically two types of data collection method which name is
primary and secondary. Questionnaire will be going to used for collecting primary information
about the impact of cultural diversity. Books, magazines etc. sources will be applied for
gathering secondary data about the selected topic.
Sampling: This introduces to the effective process which is divided into two parts such as
probability and non-probability. For selecting sample size for this dissertation, 70 employees of
the ASDA will be selected through simple random sampling as a type of probability sampling.
This technique is useful as compare to the non-probability technique because it save time, cost
and resources of researcher or organisation.
