INTRODUCTION
Skills development and knowledge enhancement for personal and professional growth and
creates opportunity for an individual in future. It is helpful in learning and enhancing the skills,
abilities and knowledge on a regular basis that can enhance opportunities for career growth in
similar fields. Solving the business problems by managing the organisation can enhance the
ability to explore, create and deliver such values to the customers that fulfil their requirements.
There are many skills and abilities that are developed by an individual by performing these
activities that can provide higher growth opportunities in their personal and professional lives.
The requirements of skills such as leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, adaptability,
communication, interpersonal skills, etc. are required by a person to solve business problems.
Some of the knowledge is such as organisational knowledge, technical knowledge, conceptual
knowledge and product knowledge is required for providing business solutions. This report
covers an analysis of the skills required by individuals performing problem solving for the
business and its importance for future career growth. In the end it provides an action plan for
improving certain skills gaps of a person.
TASK 1
Skills developed and/or enhanced as a result of the project
The personal and professional development activities along with the skills and knowledge
enhancement are continuous and all pervasive for improving growth and development
opportunities to an individual. Personal and professional development refers to the growth
process of an individual by managing the learning activities, skill development and knowledge
enhancement (Di Gregorio and et. al., 2019). Performing the problem solving activities of an
organisation a person assembles skills and knowledge that can improve their further professional
and personal development and provide better employability and career success. The various
scales that are gained by performing this programme are as follows:
Problem solving skills: Problem solving is the first to the ability of an individual to
examine the situation of a problem, identify its causes and develop specific solutions to
resolve those problems (GrÃjdieru, 2018). With the help of problem solving activity I

The personal and professional development activities along with the skills and knowledge

enhancement (Di Gregorio and et. al., 2019). Performing the problem solving activities of an
organisation a person assembles skills and knowledge that can improve their further professional
and personal development and provide better employability and career success. The various
scales that are gained by performing this programme are as follows:
Problem solving skills: Problem solving is the first to the ability of an individual to
examine the situation of a problem, identify its causes and develop specific solutions to
resolve those problems (GrÃjdieru, 2018). With the help of problem solving activity I

developed the ability of identifying the reason for the problem and created a solution to
handle the problem effectively. I started to examine the situation and identified the reason
and causes for the problem through a mind map that also helped to eliminate the problem
effectively and efficiently. During the whole problem solving I focused on improving the
solutions, resolving the conflicts and working along with the members to develop critical
solutions for the problems.
Critical thinking: It refers to the thinking process of an individual in a given situation
that helps to create new things, develop new procedures, innovative ideas and provide
new methods for identifying the most suitable option for the given situation. For the
financial issues I also used critical thinking skill to arrange finance for the process and
complete the whole work. With the help of critical thinking I was able to develop good
solutions for the problem and it was among the most important things that a new
innovative approach must be utilised so that the desirable results can be achieved.
Communication skills: Communication can be explained as the method of expressing,
conveying or interacting with people around us with the help of precise actions, speech or
words that derive meaning (Lindgreen and et. al., 2021). Communication skill is a
transferable skill that goes continuously throughout the life of an individual and is helpful
at maximum times when interacting with others. I had developed communication skills
while performing the programme because I needed to interact with the people for
developing solutions for the business problems. I think that open mindedness, proper
body language, appropriate speech and adequate attention can improve the
communication activities of an individual.
Digital literacy: The technology is rapidly changing its shape and is advancing at all
levels of life whether in small margins or huge margins. The advancement in technology
has intensified the use of devices, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality,
digital literacy etc. While creating the solution for increasing space within the area I
learnt the use of virtual reality and augmented reality for increasing the space by properly
aligning the materials within the organisation. I was able to utilize various social media
platforms, websites, digital technology, etc. for improving the experience.
Teamwork: It refers to the collaboration of people for working together in a group and
with each other for achieving the common objectives or desired goals (Lindgreen and et.
