INTRODUCTION
Employee retention is defined as an organization's ability to prevent the employee
turnover. It is also understood as the number of people which leaves and organization. In this
essay of skills for higher education the discussion of the business problems caused due to the
high turnover in the staff is discussed with its potential solutions. Employee retention either
happens voluntarily or involuntarily depending directly on the business performance and success.
The problems which are discussed in this essay regarding the decreased productivity of the
organization and the loss of sales. These problems occur in the organization due to the increase
in the employee retention which is a concept of poor management of the HR practices in the
organization.
The reason of this problem is due to the high turnover which is due to the poor
management of employees in the organization. The reason due to which this business is
experiencing high turnover could be because of high amounts of work which the employees have
to do in the organization. Some employees also tend to leave the organization due to the lack of
recognition which they get. It can be said that the company culture is also a major fact which
influences the poor performance in the organization. Due poor relations with the manager also
the employee turnover increases in the organization. Some employees desire flexibility in the
organization which impacts their decision towards staying the business.
The result of the high employee turnover has resulted in the decreased productivity and
decrease of sales. Thus, thesis of this situation explains that the topic is employee retention
which will be direct the essay to take decisions which will be contributing towards the
management of the operations. The solutions which are going to be provided by the organization
is considered to be the most effective in the nature to bring solutions regarding the ways in which
the organization is able to develop effectiveness.

PROBLEM- 1
“Decreased productivity”
If any organization there is high turnover rate than it means productivity of employees at
workplace is very poor as there are problems of proper engagement and involvement among

individuals. Also, there is lack of efficient communication channels because of which new and
old employees are not able to speak up openly on various business matters. Also, minimum
amount of output is derived that further creates problem for the business to achieve the desired
goals and objectives in specified time (Csáfordi and et.al., 2020). Furthermore, decreased
productivity is also major business problem as the organization would not be able to grab better
opportunities in the future and expand its business operations globally.
Also, due to lower productivity the firm would not be able to commit to long term
deadlines and accept better future projects. Moreover, this is business problem as there would be
frequent changes in the behaviour among the diverse individuals and there would be lack of
clarity of organization goals among the new joiner to achieve certain targets in well-defined
manner (Audretsch and Belitski, 2020). Furthermore, negative impact on productivity is also
because people are unwilling to take certain tasks and responsibilities for the future growth and
development. Also, frequent changes among the employees due to increased turnover rate within
any firm only lead to wastage and duplication of organization resources that also harms the brand
image of the company. Moreover, such types of firms have lower creativity and innovation at
the workplace as regular training is not possible to be provided every-time to the new joiners.
PROBLEM- 2
“Lost sales”
This is also major business problems as if group of individuals are leaving the workplace
on regular basis than there is high possibility and chances of decreased revenues over the long
period (Xin, 2021). Moreover, the firms would not be able to focus clearly on various businesses
goals that it wish to achieve in future because of limited availability of funds. Also, this is
business problem as decrease in the sales only means that firms are not able to target the
customers in well-defined manner and attract new ones for the same.
Also, problems such as high costs in HR department to attract and retain the best
employees in the firm decreases overall profit of the firm and there are chances that it might lead
to closure and shutdown of the company in due course of time. Furthermore, it is very important
that to sustain in the market for prolonged period the firm is doing enough sales but in case
where individuals are leaving the firm (constantly) than new policies and measures might not be
adopted by the firm (Disney, Ponte and Wang, 2021). Hence, it would require higher level of
training and commitment on the part of the new employees to work for benefit for the firm.

Moreover, lower product and services quality in the existing product would also create lost in
sales of the business that will also result in lower returns on total investment. Moreover, very
limited ideas to increase sales are generated by employees in such organizations thus creating
business problem in long run.
Solution- 1
The decreased productivity which has taken place in the organization due to the high
turnover rate in the organization. It can be said that managing the employee turnover can be a
very effective measure to improve the organizational operations. There are areas which can be
said as the recruitment of the right employees which can create an exceptional on boarding
experiences which helps in the development of the employee retention activities (Tsai, Chen and
Tang, 2021). The reason due to which there is a lack of productivity in the organization. It can
be due to the decreased efficiency of the business. As the growth of the business is affected in
due to the decreased productivity. It is important for the business to make sure that they are able
to bring efficiency in the business through creation of exceptional on-boarding experiences and
to provide the business with effective management.
The other methods of improving the business productivity also includes hiring talented
employees which would be considered to be the best way of growth the business. It is very
important for the organization to build employee engagement in order to increase the
collaborative practices which will lead to better performance in management that can also create
an offer of wining incentives which can also help in the retaining the organizational operations.
Other ways in which the productivity can be improved is via establishment of the clear
expectation from their employees to work harder. It is supposed to work for the organization as
the news ways of building new relations (Coetzee and van Dyk, 2018).

The lost sales which is due to the decreased productivity of the business can also be
considered to be a very big hindrance for the organization that impacts the operations of the
organization. It is very important for the business to make sure that it is able to provide the
organization with practices that are related to the ways in which it can bring. In order to increase
the sales of the organization it is very important for the business to make sure that the business.
This is how it is able to identify the effective operations which are considered to be the way in
which the organization is able to bring effectiveness in the individuals which are have the

roles towards the development of the sales of the organization (Stamolampros and et.al., 2019).
For the organization retaining of its experienced employees is very important as it allows
the business to make sure that they are able to bring efficiency and consistency to the business. It
can also be said that eh organization is able to bring effectiveness of the management of the
structure of the business which is helpful for the feedback of the organization. In order to
improve the turn over rate of the organization the most effective strategy is to bring new
practices of the organization into the business.

With the help of this essay it can be concluded that the high turn over in the organization
is considered to be the reason which impacts the operation of the business that leads to the
reduction in the sales and productivity of the organization. The problems which were identified
in the organization regarding the operations of the business were considered to be the ways in

This company which is facing decreased sales due to the lack of productivity in the
organization needs to increase its efficiency. Consistency is going to be very important for this
company as which will come when it is able to retain the employees and successfully hire
employees which are more talented. This can be done by this company with the help of talent
management practices of its HR department. Sales can be increased with the help of marketing
practices which are considered to be effective for developing growth. Employee retaining can
help the organization in the management.
