INTRODUCTIONSmall firm (SBE) is the privately handled or partnership firm that are managed by owner ofthe company. Such enterprises have limited sales and also less annual revenue than a large orregular sized organization. So many small firms are working in UK, government is focusing onsmall organizations and providing necessary supports so that they can grow and develop. EuropeanUnion considers those companies as small enterprises whose number of employees are 60 or lessthan this. For the present study, a small software company Softwire has been taken into practice;continuous its business activity in information technology development and consultancy. It willanalyse the comparative measures of performance. Present report will emphasis on revise businessplan and will implement an accurate plan which can be able to give positive success to such smallfirms. Report will focus on change management process in the company and continuous monitor theimprovement in performance of business.TASK 11.1Softwire is the UK based firm which is working in the field of software development. It wasfounded on August 13, 1999. Pete Kenny, Dan Shavick, Phil Marsden were the founder of thecompany (Ackermann and Audretsch, 2013). It was awarded as 3 stars and 6th position in 2011 inthe category of small enterprises. For providing good IT/ Internet services it got the highest positionin UK. 58 employees are working in the company. Approx turn over of the company is 5 millionGBP. Products of the company are as Reservwire,Webmap, Job finder. It collaborates with other specialist agencies like managed services, design agencies andother software vendors for providing effective and essential services to the customers, Missionstatement of the firm is to make technology beneficial for customers rather than creating problemsfor them (Chesbrough, 2013). Its main objective is to provide quality and essential internet servicesto the clients and also to create appropriate culture in the workplace for employees so that they cansupport the organization. There are many strength and weakness of Softwire these are as below: Strengths of SoftwireSkilled employees: Skilled and talented workers are the major strength of the organization.Workforce always tries to give their best to customers and fulfils their demands by providingexcellent services to the clients. Softwire hires educated and experience persons into firm sothat they can contribute well in the company and can help to achieve the objective of thefirm.

Management: Mangers and leaders of organization gives opportunities to grow along withcompany and maintain long term relationships with employees. To increasing produtivityand turnover of company of workers they motivate them by providing rewards andincentives. Leaders motivate to their employees to accept changes and maintaincoordination among them so less misunderstanding can take place. Cordination: In simple words communication means receive and give information to eachother on workplace. It helps to build strong coordination and provides important informationto the clients and other important members of company. A good communication skills canreduces conflicts and decreases communication gap between them (Gallego, Rubalcaba andHipp, 2013).Practical application: Through innovation in technology company full fill demand of itscustomers. Test driven and behaviour driven technology development is key innovation ofcompany. For travel reservation system they developed Reserve wire techniques. Thesesystems bring more customers and increases turnover of company. Working dependency on management: Company manages projects and dependencybetween enterprise and its stakeholders with excellent management approach.Creativity: To increasing its business activities and productivity of company they applyinnovation in evert area of operations activity. Innovation is techniques that help company'sworker to think different and help to them give better work (Griffin, 2013). ImperfectionSales and profits is very low because of fewer customers.People has less knowledge about this company because its operate its business in UK's smallarea only.Company has no planning to expand its business activities and working as small company.Company has lack of investment strategy in its operations.It has lack of interests towards research and development activities. Company employed only limited numbers of employees (Hatten, 2015).1.2 Companies generally use many tools to measure execution of industry or business.Comparative analysis is an effective tool to measure the performance of the enterprises. As per thegiven scenario Softwire uses comparative measure to evaluate the performance of firm. Method ofcomparative measures is as below:
