This research project aims to design and implement a smart attendance monitoring system using face recognition. The objective is to decrease errors in attendance, evaluate the system, test and execute it with experimental data, and implement a system for identifying and obtaining student attendance using face recognition. The scope of the project is to design an automatic system for monitoring student attendance using non-intrusive cameras in classrooms. The project addresses research questions about the concept of face recognition, its role in controlling and monitoring attendance, and the hardware and software required for a smart attendance system. The literature review highlights the use of face recognition in attendance systems and compares it with other biometric technologies. The research methodology involves a qualitative research design, data collection through literature review, and data analysis using content analysis and face recognition algorithms.
