INTRODUCTION Airport delay is the delaying of the flights because of changes in the schedule time of taking off or landing of flights. A flight is considered as delayed when it is late by 15 minutes. Currently this problem is increasing continuously because there are various reasons which are resulting in delaying of the flights (Čarský, Zpěváčková and Liutov, 2019). The current trends in the airport delays are the delays because of weather changes, tornado, blizzard, hurricane, late arriving aircraft etc. These are the major trends which are related to airline delay. This presentation is related to the analysis of the different types of delays of flights and the way in which all of them could be improved. The two stakeholders who will be focused in it are security area manager and immigration manager. MAIN BODY Concise debate regarding one type of delay and the way in which customer journey can be improved using a smart solution delivered by the stakeholders One of the main types of delays is carrier delay which is related to the control of air carrier. There are various types of activities which may result in carrier delay are baggage, aircraft cleaning, outage carrier equipment, awaiting of the arrival of connecting passengers or crew baggage, damage of hazardous goods. It is very important for all the airlines to make sure that all the issues which may result in carrier delay are analysed properly and solution for them are analysed. There are various another reasons of carrier delay. These are crew legality, fulling, slow boarding or seating, stowing carry on baggage, late crew, maintenance etc. There are two main stakeholders who are security area manager and immigration manager. The solutions which are provided by both of the for the carrier delay are as follows: Solutions according to immigration manager: All the crew members who are responsible to take care of carrier related activities are required to make sure that all of them are performed according to the preschedules time so that possibility of delay (Costa and Santos, 2016). Immigration manager said that if carrier delays are required to be ignored then it is the responsibility of the airport staff to make sure that theycheck every activity personally so that all the issues that are resulting in carrier delay could be ignored. Solutions according to security area manager: 1
Security area manager is one of the main stakeholders of airports and according to this manager the carrier delays could be ignored if security of the airline is focused by the staff members who are handling carrier related activities. In order to reduce the possibility of carrier delays the security manager have suggested that the airport crew should formulate a chart and provide specific time limit to all the activities which are related to carrier handling. With the help of it, it will be very easy to deal with the issues of carrier delay (Jalali and Zeinali, 2018). The main stakeholders of airport who are immigration and security area manager have suggested that different actions could be taken by the airport staff which can help to reduce the possibility of carrier delay. By working on these solutions, the aircraft delays because of some specific activities such as fuelling, crew handling etc. could be ignored. It may take place because of various reasons. These are evacuation of terminal, re-boarding of aircraft, concourse, breach of security handling activities etc. It is very important for the airport crew members to make sure that they are paying attention towards security of flights so that all the delays which are resulting because of them could be resolved systematically. Longer time limit in the screening is also a cause of security delays which are affecting the on-time landing and taking off of flights. It is very important for the airport staff to find main ways to deal with all the issues that are affecting the security of airlines and resulting in delays of airlines. By finding right solutions for all of them the airports will be able to land and take off all the flights in the predetermined time limit. There are various stakeholders of airlines who are immigration and security area manager who have provided different solutions for the security delays on the aircrafts. All of them that are provided by them are as follows: Solutions according to immigration manager: According to immigration manager security delays could be ignored by paying attention towards high level of security. It will help to ignore all the issues that are resulting in delays of flights because of security issues. Immigration manager said that latest security checks should also be focused by the security staff of the airports as it will help to ensure higher level of security and reduce 2

For the purpose of solving it the security staff is required to make sure that they perform all their jobs properly and meet expectations of superiors. It will help to reduce the possibility of security delays. Another solution which could be adopted by the airports to reduce the possibility of security delays is scheduling all the security checks properly and performing them appropriately. It will help to deal with all the issues which are resulting in delayed flights because of security issues(Sundarakani, Abdul Razzak and Manikandan, 2018). In order to respond to the delays which are taking place because of security at the airport. By paying attention towards all of them the airport staff will be able to deal with all the problems which are making delay in the flights. If the security issues will not be dealt properly then it will increase the possibility of security delay. CONCLUSION Flight delay is one of the main problems which are faced by airports and the individuals who are travelling through airlines. There are various types of delays which are security, carrier etc. There are various stakeholders such as security area and immigration manager who are responsible to find appropriate solutions for all the issues which are affecting the on-time landing and taking off of the flights. All the smart solutions for the delays of the flights can help to make sure that all the flights are landed on time. These solutions are necessary to make sure that all the flights are performing all their operations on time. If the staff members of airports will not be able to find right solution for the delays then it will be very difficult to fly aircrafts at the scheduled time. 3
