INTRODUCTION
Person with disability means when an individual with long term physical, intellectual,

Usually, in society, people with disability faces various challenges which influences their morale
and peace (Medina-Rico, López-Ramos and Quiñonez, 2018). In UK, there are 7 million people
of working age population are disabled which defined by Equality Act 2010. The project is based
on disabilities in person and their living rights. In this report, the issues regarding the disability in
media and how people with disability are excluded in society is explained. Furthermore, it also

laws and legislation are defined in promoting social inclusion for people with disabilities.
TASK 1
Using UK contemporary issues regarding disability in media, focus on the one named disability
and clearly explain how people with disability are socially excluded in society.
Disability is a term which represent the condition of body that makes difficult for people
to do certain activities in smooth manner (Iriarte, McConkey and Gilligan, 2015). There are
different types of disability such as vision impairment, hard of hearing, intellectual disability,
physical disability, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder and many others. In world,
there are 1 billion persons with disability due to which they are represented among the world's
poor and tend to be poorer. The main role of media is to influence the public opinion and
establish societal norms by offering images and stories (Eisenberg, Andreski and Mona, 2015).
Person with disabilities are covered in media with seldom and when they are featured, they are
represented negatively and not appropriately. The media plays an important role in raising
awareness, misinformation and countering stigma. Persons with disability are treated as objects
of charity, medical treatment and pity that have to overcome a disabling and tragic condition in
order to inspire the non-disabled. Blindness is one of the disability that is socially excluded in
society (Ellis, K. and Kent, 2016). Media also plays a vital role in creating awareness among
people and also influence the way people with disabilities are treated in society. They generally

society such as low income, crime, fear of crime, discrimination and relationship breakdown.
Blind people generally feels lack of independence or feel that they can not live in society for
long run, issues can arise. They generally experienced depression and social isolation due to
which their mental health gets affected (Barton, 2017). For boosting the morale of disabled
person, they can use some exciting new platforms such as mydisabilitymatters in order to
connect with others who have a disability. In society, blind people are treated as a poorly due to
which it becomes difficult for them to create good relations with non-disabled people. For
explaining how people with disability are socially excluded in better manner, social model of
disability is implemented. This model helps in viewing the world with the eyes of disabled
people. Social model determines that people are disabled by barriers in society rather than their
difference or impairment. The model helps in identifying derogatory attitudes, social exclusion
and systematic barriers as people with disability face difficulty to attain their valued functioning.
By implementing this model, businesses or society can change the individuals with disability to
accommodate society. Social model of disability supports people with disability and also provide
them right to be a participative citizen in society on equal basis.
Issues of funding with provision related to disabilities
As according to the Guardian 2017 there is been seen that the universal credits are being
altered and their implied all criticism in which the issues related to mental and the physical
disabilities are being observed (NHS faces staggering increase in cost of elderly care, academics

the methods. Their is been seen so many elderly people are disabled and they're are eventually
not being able to cope up as due to lack of resources and the management with which the
adherence are being seen (Agovino, Garofalo and Marchesano, 2018). The major crisis of

are maintained. Their is implied that all the funding are being raised as the bill is being passed
but there are so many compliance which are being administered in which the proposals and the
adult social care is outlined (Johnson, 2020). All the independent living and their assistance helps
in managing and applying the LA (Local authority) compliance to mandate and frame the
working. So the elderly disabled are affected by the major issues which are generally the
applicability and the nature in which the funding applications are to be made to the government
and the other bodies and in that all such are required to be framed in the general compliance and
the nature where the permission and the funds taken longer time then usual. All such local
authorities manage the funds in order to help out the leaders and also to manage the general
adherence through which their safety and effective management can be opted.
NHS manages to provide the effective packaging and also the methods through which
they give the funding in order to manage the elderly for all the illness, serious disability and the
issues that are4being raised due to general care and measures. NHS funding is being managed by
the central government as they maintain the review process through which they impose funds in
the taxation and also manage all the allocation and the ensuring of the work with management
and their health aspects. Activity theory helps all the elder people to manage and maintain the
social interactions in which they provide all the roles and the social pressures that are being
aligned in older person and their working.
How effective legislation are promoting the social inclusion for people with disabilities.
In order to manage the social inclusion and also to adhere and promote equality among
the individuals there is provided that all the person in the society should be treated in proper
manner and there is required to apply the nature and the way in which all the effective legislation
and their promotion is applied. As in UK there is Equality act 2010 which implement that all the
person in the society are equal and their should not be any kind of discrimination which are
being made on the basis race, sex, caste, disability and gender. All these are required to be
framed and applied with the comprehensive as this is required to be managed and made with the
general nature and the applicability. In order to promote the social inclusion and also to apply the
protection for the disabilities some of the major needs are being addressed in the Warnock
Committee form 1978-2005 (From the Warnock Report (1978) to an Education Framework
Commission, 2022[online]). In this their was given the emphasis on all Special educational needs
but there are so many compliance which are being administered in which the proposals and the

which are being reviewed for special education needs and the requirements in order to mange the
subsequent legislation.
As there is provided the comprehension in which all the subsequent areas and the laws
records are being carried out as all the special educational needs are addressed and through
Children and Families Act 2014 some of the major policy bare given for the national and also the
local areas and practise in order to examine the development for the growth of the disable
children and their individuals. SEND system gives the categorisation where they manage and
include all the patching up and the system and also the limitations through which the future
development are being aligned managed.
The major development which are being made through this Warnock report 1944 is
aligns to manage the disabilities of the education and the pattern of provision in which the
legislation with Education Act 1981 is applied and all the development in relation to the
handicap children are opted. It is been seen that in all the cognitive areas and the ways the major
components in which the developments of education is made through which the growth and the
procurement is applied (Vedeler, Olsen and Eriksen, 2019). Thus UK provides various acts
through which they manage the safety and the compliance the protection of the disabled and their
is been framed that all such issues can be cover with all major practises. Their is implied that in
all these areas human right act, equality act 2010, education act and many more are used to
overcome the challenges and the issues which are being faced by the disabled. All such
assessment are underlined and this Warnock report implies to give the mainstreams in which it
helps in addressing the nature of working and also apply the main element in which the disability
is attained and removed. All such legislation which are being given in order to frame and manage
the work and also to contemplate all the nature and the working function with legislative
functions. The UK government undergoes with some major protection that are being drawn to all
the disables and also give them the rights through which they are being protected from all the
issues and the reasons.
CONCLUSION
From this above report it is concluded that, disability is the incapacity of the individuals
in order to manage the work due to physical, mental or the other issues. Their is been seen that in
subsequent legislation.
