Is social media good for society?
Social media refers to computer based technology which facilitates sharing of ideas,
thoughts, opinions and views. It is one of the quick conversation which take place through
electronic method. But the question arises that is social media good for society? as per me social
media is beneficial for society there for it has millions of customers (Brough and et.al 2020). The
major advantage of social media is that it provides a platform to people where they can writ
whatever they feel about anything and it will reach to millions of people in just a single click.
Besides this, in the world which sometimes become boring social media provides incredible
offering and benefits. It is also providing various benefits and advantages. People have also
learnt many new things through social media even they have improved communication as well
because by social media people get to know new words and sentences which is trending.
On the other hand, many people feel that social media is bas for society, because
continues use of social media can increase risk of anxiety, depression, loneliness and self-harm
as well. In present time most of the children and young age people using social media and they
spent their whole day and they do not focus on their studies and career as well. Apart from this.
social media also promote negative experience for instance inadequacy about life may increases
due to continuous use of social media. Besides this, Fear of missing out also increases when
young age people use social sites such as: Facebook, Instagram, twitter etc. along with this
people feel that it brings exacerbate feeling in people and they feel that they are having more fun
as compared to their daily life.
Social media has bought various advantages to society as it has opened communication
with the entire world. Besides this it becomes easier for people to make friends quickly, but a
couple of decades ago it was not easy for people die to lace of technology and resources. Besides
this, social networking services can provide access to power to people so that they can easily
highlight the major concern and issues (Hysa and et,al 2021). So with the help of social media
people can raise major issues and problems and it can become a trend among social media and
millions of people go through to this and that crime get limelight so that all the necessary action
can take place.
Besides this, people still feels that social media has become waste of time and money
because people spent most of the time on social media. It may impact their eyes and health many
