Introduction
The history of the context of colonialism is one of the brutal subjugation among
the indigenous community of people. According to the research studies colonialism can
be defined as the control over dependent community of people by position or power
(McKenzie-Jones, 2020). The indigenous community has been one of the major victim of
the consequences of colonialism. The concept of colonialism projects as a framework
towards the understanding of the history, economy and the tension among the aboriginal
and non aboriginal Canadian within the history of Canada.
This paper aims to give short summaries of the findings of two paper related to
who the first Nations community people which some of the initial ideas regarding the
importance and the connection of these two taper with the aspect of colonialism in

illustrated the importance of awareness to issues related to two indigenous Canadians
towards the hope of a creation of a more unified country.
The paper highlights the campaign which presence the cultural and the historical
experience of the indigenous people in relation to the settlements of the colony as well as

Discussion
Indigenous community people have gained some of the increasing international
visibility due to their fight against the long standing colonialism. Colonialism has been
linked to the settlement of Western European people in many colonies after killing
indigenous community of people. Government assimilation and colonization affected
majority of the aspects of indigenous life including traditional roles, health, socio
economic conditions, culture, access to services as well as equity among others. The
impact of colonization over the Canadian indigenous people is still prevalent today within
the inequalities of health, loss of tradition and traditional practices, discrimination in in
availing fundamental rights and the breakdown of the unit of family. The first Nations
where the initial inhabitants of the Canada whose way of life way majorly destroyed by
the impact of colonialism.
