Impact of Mass Media on Youth

 Mass media is seen as one of the best way to
communicate to the people present in the external
environment. It refers to the channel through which
people communicate the business environment.
Mass media supports and increases the efficiency
of communication in the business environment.
 Mass media lays great impact on the lifestyle and
the emotional capacity of people in the business
environment. Actually to be specific, it should be
noted that the information shared through different
channels of mass media impacts the living of
people.
 It also sets great impact on the young people
present in the business environment.

 There are different channels of mass media
like radio, television, social media, print
media, digital media etc. However, digital
media communication is one of the most
effective ways to communicate in the
external environment and share the
message to large number of people.
 Digital media is mainly used by the youths
present in the worldwide market. Digital
media highly attracts the interest of youths
in the environment and it also gives them a
platform to promote themselves.

positive and negative influences on the people of the
country. Mass media holds the power to influence the
society on all the channels that a person has rejected
to decode in the environment.
 It has both positive and negative impact on the
personality and lifestyle of people. On one hand it
increases the motor skills or the youth while on the
other hand it many times destroys it by making them
believe on certain things that are not true.
 Mass media is an entirely different platform from the
actual world, so it depends upon people how they
make use of it in the environment.
Impact of Mass Media

 Initially it should be noted that it depends upon person to
person that what activities they perform on different
channels of media and they will get the result accordingly.
 It should be noted that nowadays, mass media has more
negative than positive impact on youth of the country.
Mass media reduces their belief on certain things in life.
For instance, if a youth has seen and believed on a news
that they have seen on social media but that information is
tampered or not true, so it will affect their interest and will
make them question on most of the things that they see in
the real world.
 Mass media makes the youth question on everything, even
on reliable sources once their trust is broken.
Negative Impact

 Mass media also affects the personality of youth in a negative
way. As discussed in above mentioned presentations that real
life and mass media are two different platforms so the youth
present an entirely different personality on media while their
nature is just opposite in real life.
 For instance, a teenage that has a conservative personality in
real life is outrageous and outspoken on social media. Some
people might think of it as a good aspect but actually it is not
because, social media is not a real world platform and it is
affecting the scope of a teenage to actually be outspoken in
real world.
 Getting hatred from that world which is not true can
adversely affect the interest of the youth in the environment.

 As discussed in the review that parents all over the world have
started getting tense due to the long term effect of continuous
exposure of media in the environment due to which the generation
gap between a parent and young child has started to increase. Mass
media make the youth get to know about certain information even
before they are mentally prepared for it.
 Like, exposure to information about drugs, harmful activities etc.
Mass media can also affect the personality of a youngster.
Nowadays, media portrays more negative information than positive
as body shaming activities, nuisance comments etc. have started
taking place on the platform.
 Such activities make the youth see the real world as a bad place
where people judge them negatively only. Most importantly, mass
media create a different image about real world in the eyes of which
and when they actually see it then they get dissatisfied because it is
not what they believed or expected it to be.

negative impacts on the lifestyle and personality of the
youth as many young people have gained positive
outcomes from it.
 It should be noted that mass media helps them to
communicate with people present in different parts of the
world and express their opinion to them as well. Mass
media is the best way to communicate in the environment.
 It also helps the teenagers in getting information about the
facts that people in their circle do not know. So, it should
be noted that it depends up on the person that what they
take from the media and the similar effect they will have
on their personality.
Positive Impact

 Mass media helps young people in attaining information
about their personality and interest areas. It connects them
to the world and makes them identify the things that they
like or dislike.
 Mass media progressively develop the thinking skills of
people and make them understand high level things as
well. It helps the children in contacting people present in
different parts of the world and communicating with them
as well.
 Mass media also provides them a great platform to
outshine their skills and capabilities in the environment and
become famous as well. Nowadays, digital media has also
become a way for the young people to earn money by
blogging or selling their content online.

events, the fact should be noted that mass
media has both positive and negative impact,
it depends up on the youth that what they
take from such media. However, in the current
circumstances mass media has more negative
than positive impact on youth.
