The paper includes the research related to the topic sports and education. The research includes
the discussion relates to the role of sports and education in the lives of children. The research on
the topic is essential to understand the relation between sports and education. The topic is
important to discuss because this is the fact that education in these days and age has taken a
major determinant of children's success in life. In addition, sports also turned as a passionate
future for some of the children. However, some children get distracted in education due to sports
and this reflects the lack of balance between sports and education.

Role of sports and education in development
The sports contribute effectively to the development of the children at the school time. The
research reflects that sports offer numerous benefits to the children which help in their
development. Some of the benefits are: -
Sports making children agile and active- In today’s world children are leading a sedentary
lifestyle due to which they get glued on TV sets, computer, mobile and other. This lifestyle
affects the health of the children which include disease related to heart, diabetes, and others. In
order to reduce the issues, the children opt for the sports which make them agile and active
because it includes numerous physical activities. This agile and active nature of the children

collaboration and team efforts bring development in a child which is essential for the success.
This learning of the team building can be applied by the students in the education while doing
the assignment and studies. The team learning will help the children and youth to learn
differently from different experiences.
The passion of children- There are many children who are passionate about the sport which
helps them to become a sportsperson in the near future. The research reflects that the children
who are interested in the sports emphasis more on physical activities and less on education. This
directly affects the study which is required to be completed by the student for their personal and
career development (Kenney, Wilmore & Costill, 2015). Disagreeing to this, some of the
researchers reflect that today's education system makes the student emphasise more on their
mental development which makes them reject physical activities.
The negative effect of sports and education
The studies reflect that sports not only contribute to the development but it also leads to a
negative effect on the lives of children which include the occurrence of injuries. These injuries
include plate strains, sprains, repetitive motion and majorly the head and spine injuries will
expressively affect a person’s cognitive abilities. Though, sports are becoming an essential
component of one’s life (Cardinal, Yan & Cardinal, 2013). The more stress on the education by
the student leads to the development of groups of professionals and graduates with the weak
bodies and the poor physique. The curriculum is essential for the development of the children
which include sports, games and education related to physical health for all-round developments
of the students.
