Sports tourism in general is the travel of an individual which involves either participating
or observing of a particular sporting event. Sports is a very fast growing sector and it is
increasing as people now a days are more enthusiastic for watching live sports events. The travel
industry is globally growing due to the sports tourism (Zhang, 2019). This report contains a
detailed evaluation of the International Tennis federation (ITF) Junior Tennis Tournament hosted
by SVGTA (St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association) in the country, Saint Vincent
and the Grenadines.

Overview of the event
ITF is a junior tennis tournament for players who are aged under 18. This event was
hosted by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association in the year 2019. for this event
many countries took part. More than 100 players participated in the tournament from more than
30 countries, such as: USA, India, Peru, Spain, host country, etc. This event took place from
august 12 to 19 at the National Tennis Centre in St Vincent and grenadines. Many countries from
around the world participated in the event and they came with their friends and relatives who
provided players with the support. The event so help was an international event. This event do
not only was limited to hosting a tournament but this also motivated sports tourism as many
people were travelling along with the player to motivate and cheer them up.

The government have many roles to perform when any international sport event is being
hosted by their country (Teymouri and Majdam, 2019). The local government of the St. Vincent
have many roles to play, such as:
