Talent management refers to the organized strategic method of taking the suitable
talent on board and assisting them to enhance their optimal skills by focusing on the goals
and objectives of the company. This is the consistent method which includes retaining as
well as attracting top quality workers improving their capabilities and regularly encouraging
them to better their performance.
This technique thus consist of identifying the vacant and available positions also the
talent gaps, recruiting for selecting appropriate people, developing them in the system and
growing required capabilities, training in order for expertise with the future orientation and
the effectually encouraging, retaining as well as engaging them to accomplish long term
goals of the business.
Moreover to it, the following report is based on the company Morrisons which is the
one of the largest brand in the United Kingdom. Company is having more than 490
supermarkets around the England, Scotland and Wales as well. In addition to it, organization
is having their headquarter in Bradford, Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Additionally
organization is founded in the year 1899 by William Morrison. Talent management of the
Morrisons need to possess such capabilities in order to identify, engage and retain talented
people for their compay which will assist them in attaining the long term organisational
goals more effectively and efficiently.
