SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION
A. Brief introduction of the assignment
Statistical analysis is the way through which analytics uses distinctive descriptive and
inferential techniques of statistics for the thoroughly and detailed evaluation of the gathered
dataset. It helps to understand and gain meaningful insight from the large scale database. The
current study aims at applying various statistical tools and methods to evaluate and examine
weekly rent data of four suburbs in Sydney Metro, including Sydney, Randwick, Parramatta and
Auburn. For this, both the primary and secondary data set has been collected under dataset 1 and
dataset 2. Primary dataset is gathered via conducting survey, however, secondary dataset about
weekly rent is collected by accessing Australian Rental Bond Board Property dataset that is
published by the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation. Considering the outcome,
appropriate suggestions and recommendation will be made to the client in fixing weekly rent in
various cities to accommodate consumers.
B. Dataset 1
Data set 1 is gathered from primary sources and under this data is gathered on single
variable which is rent amount from different locations like Sydney etc. In this regard contact was
established with the respondents through personal contacts and referral from friends. Some
respondents are college students. In the research single question related to rent amount is asked
from respondents and same is analyzed by using statistical tools like mean, median and mode.
Normal distribution graph is also plotted in order to identify whether all items are properly
distributed in sample. Outliers are also detected using boxplot chart. It can be said that in detail
analysis is done.
C. Dataset: 2
Secondary data set about weekly rent of four different suburbs Sydney, Auburn,
Randwick and Parramatta have been downloaded from the Rental Bond Board Property dataset
that is maintained and published by the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation. It is a
secondary database because it is collected from the already published source. It includes
