Amazon Inc. is one of the largest online retailer company across the world.
The mission statement of the company includes offering products for customers at the lowest
possible prices. They promise attractive e-commerce services for the satisfaction of customers.
They include the lowest prices, convenience and best selection for the customer's satisfaction
(Amazon, 2014).
The vision statement of Amazon Inc. is to be a customer-centric company across the world that
provides the customers to fulfill their requirements. Customers finds and discovers anything
online on their website or app. They aim to be the best e-commerce organization across the
world. They include the global reach, wide selection of products and customer-centric approach
in their mission statement (Cho, 2019).
The goal of Amazon Inc. is for uplifting the standards for providing services to customers and
centricity across the world.
Triple bottom line
In Amazon, triple bottom line influences on the people, profits and the planet. In the case of
Amazon, it requires measuring the performance by considering the triple bottom line. In
Amazon, it is the base of sustainability which is applied in the organization. In terms of people,
Amazon gives the priority to its customers and employees. Amazon is giving the best services to
the customer and also integrate the opinions of customers by allowing them for sharing the
feedback. In providing the services to customers, Amazon demonstrates to provide the highest
service qualities to customers (Bowler, et al., 2014).
In the case of profits, they consider profits by satisfying the customers’ needs and requirements.
To increase profits, Amazon is providing a wide range of products to customers. For long term
profitability, Amazon is building a reputation by investing in new products and services.
In the pillar planet, the Amazon is lacking in sustainability. Sustainability is required to be
adopted by the organization as they can change take the step towards the environment by taking
the green sustainability approach. Amazon is required to collect the information on

sustainability in an organization for analyzing the more effective goals. Lack of sustainability in
the social and environmental aspects is reducing social capital. Their performance is affected
which requires to tie up with social responsibility and environmental impacts. The organization
is required to be environmentally responsible. The mission and vision statement of Amazon does
not include environmental sustainability. Amazon is required to adopt sustainability-oriented
practices and reports for making the business more attractive (Iwamura, et al., 2016).
2. Amazon’s goal statement should be “uplifting the standards by providing the services to
customers along with developing the sustainability and serving the environment”. They are
required to consider the social impact as one of the main aspects of sustainability. The adoptions
of sustainability strategies are required for improving the performance of the organization.
