INTRODUCTION
Strategic Human resource development can be defined as the integrated use of training,
organization and career development programs to make develop the performance of individuals,
employees and groups who are working in an organization. This process assist in developing the
capabilities and intellectual power of employees so that the goals and objectives of the firm. It
will assist company in growing. Strategic human resources develop the competency of
employees so that the future and current problem related to job can be solved by workers. In this
personnel training is been used so that performance of every worker in firm can be improved.
Present report will lay emphasis on the importance of strategic human resource development.

Importance of strategic human resource development
Strategic human resource development is of utmost importance in the organization. This
process includes training of personnel’s for the purpose of improvising the performance of
workers. This can assist organization in achieving their goals and objectives of the firm can be
improved (Rees and Smith, 2017). Like for example Woolworth is been engaged in developing
the workforce by providing the training to employees so that their skills and competencies can be
improved. It assists them in meeting out the expectations which has been set up by the
consumers. Strategic human resource development also has certain benefits. This type of
management can assist company in improvising the environment of company; it also laid
emphasis on enhancing the culture of work. It is really necessary for growth of firm.
Strategic human resource development has assisted Woolworth in increasing their
productivity; it has also assisted them in enhancing their operational efficiency which is really
necessary for growth of firm. Human resources when developed through proper training can also
improve the brand reputation and equity of firm. Strategic human resource development also
required high quality of leadership so that workforce can be developed even during the time of
uncertain situation (Allui and Sahni, 2016). Strategic human resource development allows
company to engage in providing adequate resources to the employees so that their capabilities
can be improved. It has been analyzed that strategic human resource development can also
motivate the workers to have team spirit. This can enhance collaborative working in company. It
has increased the team spirit. It will also assist them in achieving goals and objectives that is
