INTRODUCTIONIn the recent time, tourism is the leading industry which is developing the economy of thecountry to a greater extent. Thus, it is important to take several measures to develop places so asto maintain their heritage value for the long run. Further, this will ultimately help to enhance thetourism sector. Regular renovation and cleaning measures must be taken to increase with itsvalue. In order to attain the stated objective strategic planning is required which will ensure thatcontinuous improvements are made to the historic and other places (Moutinho ed., 2011). In UK,there large number of places which needs to maintained to ensure their heritage for a longer time.Thus, it is important to develop the tourism sector as it provides employment to large number ofpeople which help them to earn their living (Vila, Costa and Rovira, 2010). Further, in this reportthe strategic planning is done to develop the places such as Charlton house which is located inLondon. Thus, for this the BID need to take initiative to ensure the development of places whichwill help them to maintain their value and attract large number of tourists towards them. PART 1A. Concept of BIDTourism is considered as one of the most efficient sector which is serving with highamount to the economy of the country. Thus, it has become highly important for them to takeseveral efforts for better planning of the activities related to tourism sector (Moscardo, 2011).Further, it is been seen that tourism is an activity which involves with the physical, economic andenvironmental planning on a regular basis. Thus it means that there is a greater need of planningin context to the development of tourist places so that they can increase with the tourism sectorto a greater extent. Thus BID serves as a very efficient term in developing with the destinationplaces of the country. They are responsible for putting the money on renovation or modificationof them. Further, business Improvement Districts (BID) are developed for addressing theeconomic development of some commercial areas. Further, for the area, duty is been charged onto the business with addition to business rates bill. Thus, this levy earned is used for developingthe projects which are under BID. Moreover, this action will help to enhance the value of theplace and assist in increasing the heritage for longer period of time. In this, all the services arebeen included such as cleaning, safety and the other environmental measures which will help toprocure the place in a better manner (Sigala, Christou and Gretzel eds., 2012). BID are the

initiatives taken by the private sector which help to improve the environment of the place.Further, the services which are been financed by the BID help to develop with the places whichadds a high value to the economy of the country. With the dependence on the state statue, BID isbeen funded by number of ways which mainly include the tax assessment and by the non-profitorganizations which work for the betterment of the country. They together work for thedevelopment of the places which will help them to maintain the value of them to a greater extent.It is been evaluated that with the help of BID, country is able to increase with the value of theproperty as they serves with high development measures. Further, in the present time, BID ishighly focused on the tourism and leisure industry which is assisting London to develop withtheir tourism industry to a great extent. It is highly responsible to work upon the projects whichare important for the upliftment of tourism industry a. BID is the major helping hand for theareas as they take initiatives for its development and fund it on their behalf. It can be evaluatedthat London is rich in its heritage and culture as there are large number of destinations which arecreating high attraction for people from different parts of the world (Heitmann, 2010).Thus, itbecomes necessary for procuring the monuments, rivers and other tourist destination (Evans,Stonehouse and Campbell, 2012). There are many places in London which needed greaterplanning for there development. Thus, BID plays an important role in taking several efforts forfor the deevlopment of the places. Further, Charlton House is the most prominent place to visit.Moreover, the Jacobean building is the part which is highly rich in its heritage. Thus, it isconsidered under BID which means that they are responsible for the development of the areawhile ensuring its heritage value.
