INTRODUCTIONIn the present context Strategic Resource Management focuses on delivering the adequateand proper services related with management of all the different aspect of resources so thatorganization can easily attain the objectives. It often concern with setting the goals andobjectives as well as measuring the competitive environment within the industry so that it mayeasily sustain in the environment. Therefore, it has been stated that strategic resourcemanagement plays significant role within the establishment that directly outcome in sustainingwithin the environment. In order to carry out the report in effective manner the chosen organization is Hilton oneof the leading hospitality organization within the UK region that deals in delivering room oraccommodation services to different segment customers. The report will also focuses oncompleting the different activities related with human resource management as directlycontribute in performing the activities within the organisation. Along with this, another activitywithin the report focuses on management or planning of using the adequate physical resources sothat it may easily meet the requirement of the organisation. In addition to this, it would alsofocus on understanding the role of marketing activities that directly contribute in accomplishingthe objectives and goals. ACTIVITY 1: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT 1.1 Objectives for chosen organization and how HRM contributes to their achievementHilton is leading hospitality organisation within the industry that deals in serving qualityaccommodation as well as food services to their different segment customers. There are differentobjectives that is devised by the hospitality organisation so that they can succeed in thecompetitive industry (Banifield and kay, 2012). The foremost objective of Hilton organisation isto become the leading hospitality organization that deliver their services to the global communitywith enhancing or raising the experience of their guests and visitors. In order to accomplish theabove objective of Hilton hotel human resource management function plays significant role aswith recruiting and selecting the competent personnel within the organization they must focuseson delivering the quality hospitality services to their different segment customers (Barnett andMorse, 2013). Another objective of Hilton hotel is towards their employees and staff those whorenders quality services to customers and guests. The key objective is to provide the qualityworking condition as well as remuneration to their staff so that they get committed towards the3

organization. In order to accomplish the objective HRM function of the cited firm deviseeffective salary package for their different level staff so that they may properly meet theirobjectives. In addition to this, another objective of Hilton hotel is to engage in customized serviceswith the help of using technological factors and resources. Therefore, to accomplish thisobjective in proper manner HRM function within the hospitality organization deals in staffingthe qualified and competent personnel that support in using the technological resources formeeting the customers’ needs and preferences (Budhwar, 2000). 1.2 The role of HRMIt has been assessed that Human Resource Management plays significant role within thechosen organisation as it benefit the Hilton in managing and organising the human resourceswithin the premises so that they may positively contribute in accomplishing the stated goals andobjectives. The role of HRM function within hospitality organisation is to engage indevelopment activities so that they can easily attain welfare among the staff and employees thosewho are working within the organisation (Christensen, 2002). With the help of this roleemployees can easily deliver the quality services to their guests and customers those who visitstheir hospitality organisation. It has been also critically evaluated that another role of HRM function within thehospitality organisation is to develop the collaborative working policies and compensationpackages for their employees so that staff can easily deliver quality accommodation as well asfood services to their customers. The working policies mainly consists of disciplinary strategiesas well as grievance strategies that is been used by the management so that they can easilyenhance the commitment level among the staff that directly lead to contribute towards attainingthe goals and objectives (Chuang, Church and Zikic, 2004). Whereas, another role of HRMfunction within the Hilton hotel is concerned with framing the strategies related with motivatingand retention so that they can easily boost the morale of staff and employees those who arerendering services within the hospitality provision.
