INTRODUCTION
Asset management strategy is the implementation of asset management practices,
processes in the organisation and also important for all companies, where there is step ahead in
the business organisation and lots of firm has implemented the asset management strategy
(Aremu and et.al., 2018). This helps in fixing the problem of various issues related to the assets
in the management. In this report, the project that is chosen is Gatwick airports also known as
London Gatwick is biggest international airports near England and second busiest airport. In this
report, it is discussed that suitable structure of the project and analyse the asset value for
estimating the current condition of project by stating different methods of structural assessment
that include Health, safety and risk assessment. Apart from that it has evaluated the future
condition of deteriorations and application of possible use of elements that include sustainability
application. It is determined that suggested condition to be use both physically for future period
of time.
MAIN BODY
Identifying the suitable structure
Gatwick Airport opened as as aerodrome in the late 1920s and has been using for
commercial flights since 1933 and has two terminals, North and South terminal. This airport
cover areas of 98000 m square and 160000 m square terminal (Bonthuys, Van Dijk and
Cavazzini, 2019). This airports also deals in the single-runway with the length of 3316m. Second
runway is available but due to some reason it can not be use and this can be use if main runway
is not working. In the year 2018, there are approximately 46.1 million passengers passed through
the airport and it is increase compared with the 2017. This airport it first developed in the
approval of commercial flights from the site in 1933. This airport offer many facilities to the
customers as on the 31 May 2008, opened Virgin Holidays and dedicated to long haul travellers.
This airport is the carrier' s largest base and unique features among all airports. This airports is
polices by Sussesx police and district id responsible for the entire airport and in certain
circumstances and apart from that entire airport 150 officers attached to this district include
armed and unarmed officers.
There is construction of new Gatwick Airports to improve the accessibility and enhance
the passengers experience and provide more space for the passengers. This project include the

work of London Gatwick airports a new railway station. There is 150 million pound project that
has notices many changes at the railway station. This project is working towards of the creation
of bigger, brighter and better station and better and improved accessibility for the passengers at
the end of 2023. This project has done and achieved many milestone and transform hub as
people is returning to the railways. This is important for the railways to maintain the effective
sustainability in the railways construction and it is modern design which help in enhancing the
passengers experiences and increasing the Global Britain. The future growth will be brighter for
the railways station as Investment Director for the Network Rail's Southern region has forecasted
the future growth of the railway station and they were continuing to invest more in the future.
Objective of Project
 To improve the overall experience of the passengers and to increase the sustainability in
the airports.
 It is being the necessary for the development of railway station and need to increase the
engagement of people towards the station as they are they are fewer then airports.
 To provide bigger and better experience to the passengers with affordable prices and that
leads to enhance the overall expectations of the passengers (Cavka, Staub-French and
Poirier, 2017).
Features of new Projects
 The projects has come up with many expectations of the Director of Gatwick Airport and
has seen many tremendous difference in last years and will give amazing result to the
customer.
 It has been promised by the owner that there will be difference experience when
travelling and will going to give amazing and new improvement for the passengers and
enhancing overall and entire network to the company.
Estimating current condition of project inclusive of different methods
Cost techniques- The cost techniques that were used in this project is based on the Marginal
costing, Absorption costing as this project has been develop in bigger level and that needs to
determined the effective way of cost techniques (Cherrington and et.al., 2020). In this project,
there is total cost of around the 155 million pound has been invested and it is increasing as per
the new advancement in the project. This is necessary to make appropriate decision regarding the
cost and that will decide the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the project and top

management has significantly using the steps related to the cost that will going to invest in the
project.
Health and safety- This refers to the rules and policies regarding the project that has been
imposed by the government (Gârleanu and Pedersen, 2018). The UK has very strict regarding
the safety measure of the passengers and that leads to ensure appropriate journey of the
travellers. The main and essential duty of the company to ensure the safe journey of the
passengers and become necessary to follow by the organisation. The safe and secure journey
should be the priority of the company and must ensure that they follow all essential guidelines
and take measurable action regarding the health of the passengers.

Assessing the future conditions to improve sustainability
This is necessary for the organisation to develop the effective way to maintain the
sustainability in the construction of the railway station. This refers to the improvement in the
experience of the passengers and that deliver the optimum satisfaction in term of travelling
through railway station (Petry, Fichtner and Heemskerk, 2019). The future condition of this
project is wider and positive and that consist of many changes in the construction of the railway
station. The future of this railway is concentrated towards the longer period of thoughts and that
needs to be assessed properly and many changes and improvement has been developed and
maintain by the organisation. The future scope of this project are-
 The main purpose of this project is to improved the accessibility such as Eight new
escalators, five new lifts and four new stairways will be installed to enhance the comfort
of passengers. This leads to reduce in mobility and will be beneficial for those who were
elder and having their journey through pushchair or luggage.

 This is developing from the point of improving the overall sustainability and
comfortableness in the long and hectic journey. This is design from the point of view of
everyone safety and increasing the security measure.
 Platforms were widen to reduce the crowding and improve the accessibility to enhance
the experience of the passengers. The scope of this railway station has increased and will
help the passengers to make quick visit in the platform rather than airport.
 The future growth of this project has been bright and ensure the better journey experience
as rail station will be double in size to provide more space and better facilities of the
passengers and will lead to many benefits (Roda and Macchi, 2018). This has improved
the overall growth in near future and passengers were used to take more ride in the
platform instead of airports.
 Connections to the airports terminal and passengers way finding will be upgraded to
increase the experience of the passengers as this become necessary for the platform to
provide more and better benefits to the travellers.
 As, due to widening the platforms, new escalators, lifts will going to give new better
experience in their travel diaries. This will make the train spend less time on platforms,
reduce the delays and supports more services to the passengers.
 Some of the major improvements and developments has been decided in the welfare for
the travellers as they will going to give new and improved satisfaction in the station. This
is important to note that higher authorities has decided to make this project less polluted
and that will decrease the risk of pollution.
 Many advantages has been arises that project will be beneficial for the those who used to
travel at regular period of time. As this journey will going to give ease and comfortable
journey experience. This is necessary to make the essential decisions regarding the
development of the travelling and ensuring that they have safe and secure experience.
 Due to the pandemic, the aviation industry has faced devastated impact and it is forecast
predict that it will be few years before passengers numbers returns to pandemic highs.
However, the holidaymakers and business travellers begin the confidence in international
travel and its seems to be bright future of the railway station. It is important for the
management to grab and anticipated the opportunity for the travellers.

 The main aim of this railway station is to make the world-class connectivity and on-going
development of railway station and to become the prime position when it comes to the
sustainability travel and will enhance the overall productivity and efficiency.
Suggesting for maintaining, strengthening and improving physically
In the project of development of railway station there is need of improving and
strengthening the infrastructure in near future so that it increase the overall sustainability. Here
are some suggestion regarding the maintenance and improvement of project are as follows-
 The need of proper management is required to be maintained and this need to be
sufficiently maintained in the organisation. The requirement is to regulate all policies
adequately and sufficiently acquire the resources (Zhu and et.al., 2018).
 The need of regulating the process of the railway station as ensure that they must be
regulated effectively in order to ensure all compliance of safety and security of all
passengers.
 The project must be provided the sustainability to the customers and provide all facilities
at lower prices according to others railway station. The need of proper guidance to all
passengers is very important to take care of their safety and security.
 The need of proper reviewing of overall project is essential to avoid the unforeseen
circumstances and that leads to certain advantages and benefits in order to improve the
sustainability and developments.
 It is being suggested that project instructor will need to be analysed in order to increase
the effectiveness in the organisation and needs to be attain the efficiency measure to
reduce the uncertainty. The need of improvement is necessary to increase the better
journey experience of the passengers. The importance of this is very essential in order to
enhance the overall effectiveness and that will leads to certain advantages to the
customers.
 The need of improvement is very necessary as this is important to develop the overall
effectiveness and need to be evaluate the functioning of firm to ensure the smooth
operational activities.
 The essential tool has to be managed accordingly and to re engineering the whole process
to make the things effective and efficiently to make the things more appropriately. The

need of providing the high class facilities is necessary and to maintain the positive
working environment is also very important to achieve the desired objectives and goals.
 The monitoring of all essential measure to ensure the effectiveness is important as this
lead to proper achievement of desired goals and needs to give benefits to the passengers
as well.
 There is requirement of satisfying the passengers and needs to develop the financing
sustainability as well to avoid the uncertainty regarding the financial needs and has to be
maintained effectively (Campos and et.al, 2017).
 To ensure the regular achievement of goals and has to be managed effectively in order to
fulfil the needs of customer and will develop the overall efficiency of the company. The
need to provide the high end services and products needs to be given by the firm.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that Asset management is refers to the strategy to
implement and review the organisational structure that has to be provided in the management. To
identify the asset management it is important to solicit feedback from shareholder and prepare
the monitor the progress. In this report it has been analysed the suitable structure and that leads
to certain benefits to the organisation and performing the asset survey to estimate the current
condition. The need of methods are Health and Safety and risk assessment and assessing the
future condition of improving the sustainability applications. Apart from that it has been
discussed the suggestion to improve and strengthening the development of project that is
launched by company. This is important to develop and maintaining the necessary requirement to
ensure effective sustainability of the project and proper evaluation of whole process needs to be
done.
